This is what I ordered with the Teriyaki Sauce on the side. The tofu was really soft and smooth and the chawan mushi was also good.
I made a new bag for my lunch box using a pattern I found in Cotton Friend (Japanese zakka magazine).

A pencil box which flips down to become a pencil tray, for those who love to draw with all the colours at once
Milano, April 2005
I've been dealing with a lot of stress lately and my body is starting to show it's displeasure with that. I need to boost my health so I made a bento with lots of green veggies. Included in today's bento is spinach and carrot tamagoyaki, spinach gomae, red bell pepper, broccoli and faux chicken karaage.

bento box!! My rice seasoning I bought turned out to have fish extract in it because I didn't read the ingredients carefully enough. So I made my own rice seasoning with hot sauce, bragg's liquid aminos, rice vinegar, and black and white sesame seeds. this photo is with the cover on
A sampling of onigiri, with a small green tea on the side. On the Shinkansen train from Hiroshima to Kyoto.
Fabrics purchased at Fabric Corner in Arlington, MA. It was half off so I picked out a bunch of colors, but didn't know what to do with them. I sewed a couple of blocks and really loved the contrast of bento box. The border fabric was purhcased at Jo-Anns (I think it was quilter's cotton). This is an up-close shot of quilting
