The holiday themed lunches have begun...

Bought at Daimaru Tokyo. JPY 999.-

Ate on the Shinkansen.

Mr. Bento extreme soup & salad.

Minced pork, carrot and snow peas stir fry (please note flower-shaped carrots), Cinnamonroll furikake, and instant miso soup.

These didn't turn out well ... too much rice and not enough filling. It was my first time making sushi. California rolls, minus the cucumber.

Anna The Red demonstrates how to carve a polka-dotted mushroom out of a radish.

They made it safe & sound!!!

I ordered the matching spoon and the microwavable divider cups in the two different sizes. When I received the order I got a fork instead of a spoon. The seller was really sweet and let me keep the fork and sent a spoon. What's interesting is that this fork and spoon is quite larger than the fork in the case that came with my first Bento Set. I think I'll use these two to tuck into the top layer of my tiered Bento where the chopsticks would normally fit. The seller sent the little baggie with a plastic bear, bunny, and elephant with the spoon as a free gift for the mistake. I don't know what they are for though. Any clues???

When they invited To-Fu for dinner he didn't know he WAS dinner!

No To-Fu where harmed in the making of this picture :p

Last picture for tonight i i promise! Just have lots of pictures sitting around waiting to be uploaded XD

An experiment to try out a new background. I photographed this bento on the open pages of Super Cawaii! magazine (this month with a free coin purse, woo!).

Workshop participants create flowers out of sliced ham and cheese.

My choir has a lovely director. For our last concert (a group of freedom songs from South Africa and civil rights songs from the US) she bought an African-looking batik for all of us to wear a bit of, in whatever fashion we desired. After the concert, I collected most of it and am putting it into a quilt for her. I'm very excited.

I plan to have all the singers sign a block on the back and we'll present it to her some place neat. Maybe at our next performance?

I also have a rusty red solid and a black solid for other boxes.

The method used is similar to Ashley's (Film in the Fridge) Modified Bento Box.
