Thanksgiving weekend 2019 in Vancouver, BC Canada.
This is the best bento I've ever had. Everything was fresh, nicely presented and very tasty.
I made this bento box quilt based on a tutorial from Film in the Fridge. (I modified the strip widths so I could use jelly roll strips to construct the blocks. The quilt used an entire jelly roll plus some selected cuts from a layer cake.)
Most of the fabric is from Tula Pink's Neptune collection. I quilted it in a lazy-looking herringbone. It's twin-size-ish.
This is his request.....Mom, I love quail egg chick and smiley mark. Please make smiley bento box tomorrow, my younger boy said last night. Okey, okey I'll make it. ..and I made this:D
