Top using Elizabeth Hartman's pattern from "The Practical Guide to Patchwork"

Fabric is April Cornell's Prayer Flag & basicgrey grunge in Elaphin as the yellow sashing (www.fishskinfabric.com)

back is various bits of Prayer Flag and some Kona cayenee & curry! YUM!

I was inspired by the 5/14/12 "scraplift this" BasicGrey post.

I used the "What's Up" Collection paper & embellishments for these cards.

Yay for back to scanned in images that are way clearer than cell phone pictures!

However, the bottom of the page still kinda got cut off, but it is the same as the top.

Day 13 : Hobbies Past

Journaling reads:

"a crafty side

the first crafty thing i can remember

doing by myself was making friendship

bracelets out of colorful string. the color

combos were endless & i loved learning

new styles & techniques. i moved on

to seed beads & pony beads & mixed

all kinds to create my own jewelry.

i loved being crafty. these days i

spend more time with paper and

scraps, but it all started with string.

what an amazing hobby! 2-13-2012."

This line is AWESOME! I really love it and I am surprised how little we have heard about it. The grey text print has so many applications I can imagine it for. CAN.NOT.WAIT.

A book I made for my sister. Basic grey papers.

I was asked by a friend to make her sister a 40th b'day card. This is what I have come up with. One of the things she wanted the card to be was girly with pinks. The top butterfly, script writting & bottom flourish are from an unknown stamp set. I coloured in the back of the heartwing butterfly with prisma colour pencils. There are slighty better looking photos on my flickr stream. TFL

Made with Basic Grey's Picadilly line! You can see more photos of the inside pages at my blog: danielleflanders.blogspot.com/2012/04/scrapkit-studio.html

EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK..... guess who was asked to be guest designer for June counterfeit kit challenge?!?!?!? yay it was ME!!!!!!

If you follow my flickr account you will know that for the past couple of months the Counterfeit kit blog has been my new home and my new place for inspiration.

if you're a friend of mine you will know how much I've loved being pushed to use different stash with this perfect way to stash bust and create fab things, all at the same time. If you've been thinking about it, then please give it a go this month, I'm sure you'll love it!

So this month we have been given a WIDE OPEN prompt for kit building... have you seen the new ranges by Basic Grey?!!? if you have you will probably love them as much as I do and that was the hardest bit about building this kit, deciding which collection to counterfeit.

(which was why i ended up with 2)

June Kit: Basic Grey New Paper Collection

www.basicgrey.com/scrapbook/

***Pick any one of the new paper collections (or even combine some) to create your kit. No embellishment suggestions this month...go ROGUE in your stash for those.

I chose South Pacific as my first kit to forge, I loved the colours, the tropical theme and especially (weirdly) the fruit bits that were thrown in there, its good to be random sometimes!!!

Please see my next post for the second kit i forged :)

This months blog hop is below, please take some time to visit all of the fabulous designers and see what they've added to their kits this month... can't wait to get started xxx

Thank you so much. :-)

brandon was 2 yrs old and sophia was just turned 1 when they were ring bearer and flower girl at my sister's wedding in 9/2006 in MI.

the top photo shows them dancing at the wedding.

fast forward to 7/2009. these 2 meet again. the 2 other photos are of the 2 dancing at goofy's kitchen (see minnie's polkadot dress in the background). it was her 1st visit to disneyland and brandon sure showed her around!

BTW, i LOVED using and making this a more girly LO than my other scrap pages since this one included a sweet little GIRL!!

I finally took pics of my quilt for Melissa's QAL she hosted earlier this year. I stitched in the ditch along the red solid & in the center square. Just have to wash & dry. I'm crossing my fingers that none of the reds bleed. :)
