(I made this card last week (3/19/13) for class but overlooked adding it to the Hero Arts group. I thought that I would add it now as I used all Hero Arts stamps & BasicGrey papers.)
Today's card was inspired by a lovely card that Jennifer McGuire made using the emboss resist technique on patterned paper. (www.onlinecardclasses.com/) Thanks for looking!
Supplies: Hero Arts Heydey Sentiments (330053), Hero Arts Large Fabric Design (CG244), Hero Arts Cup O'Joe Shadow Ink, Ranger Distress Ink and BasicGrey Serendipity 6x6 patterned papers.
Entering this card for current Hero Arts Challenge - For Her.
I used (CG171) stamp by Hero Art and inked that with Memento Inks and for the sentiment I used (CL351) stamp set, also by Hero Art, few American Crafts and BasicGrey's Papers.
Please visit ifeelglee.com/?p=608 for details on this card. :-)
Thank you. :-)
When my SIL (Robin) and I went to CKC Tulsa, I was so happy to bring home these supplies. This doesn't include the crazy stack of papers, journal sheets and journal stickers. Can't wait to dive in and start using this stuff!
I used this week's sketch from the Got Sketch? Blog together with paper scrap trimmings from my 6x6 Eskimo Kisses papers from Basic Grey.
My snowflake embellishment was made by punching two different Martha Stewart snowflakes and "trimming' off the longer spikes on the second one. I "trimmed" the vellum snowflake from a Jolee's corner embellishment. The Holly Flourish images are stamped in Versamark and embossed with Polysparkle.

Not for any challenge; just for fun.
The focal piece for this card is made from Fadeless Art Board (similar to poster board), which has a coated surface that works well with Distress Inks.
I got out my non-stick craft sheet and applied Broken China and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks directly to the craft sheet. Then I used a mini-mister filled with water to spritz the ink until it beaded up.
I dipped the art board face down into the ink, wiggled it, turned it right side up, and immediately dried it with my Heat It craft tool (heat gun). Then, I dipped it face down a second time in the remaining ink, wiggled it, turned it right side up, and dried it again.
Next I stamped Hero Arts K5094 Slanted Tree on top, using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Once the ink was dry, I die cut and dry embossed the Distress Ink panel using Spellbinders Nestabilities (Nesties) Labels Three. Then I added some gemstone flowers from Hero Arts CH143 Sparkle Gem Blossoms and a velvet ribbon from American Crafts.
The background paper is from Basic Grey's Recess 6x6 paper pad. I dry embossed it using a Stampin' Up/Sizzix "Elegant Lines" embossing folder. Then I adhered the background to a cream card base. The focal piece is attached with foam squares for dimension.
Thanks for looking! :-)
This is a mini-album i made out of children's book (many thanks to Hagit for the idea!).
The photos are from a little trip, to Kibbutz Be'eri, to see some Anemone flowers.
(The AMAZING background paper is by Basic Grey)

And my last card for today is a just-for-fun card. I gave a good thought about how I could play more with words, with a stamp set that already does that, and came up with this idea. I think it’s kinda cute... you will judge by yourselves ;). I used one 3"x4" PL card that I die cut as a speech bubble, and the pie chart was inspired by another one of these cards. The interpretation of the chart is homemade and computer generated. I’m adding this to the SSS Wednesday Challenge “Summer” for my second entry - www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-....
That’s all folks. I’ll be back tomorrow to leave you some love.
Supplies:
Stamps: SSS - Ice Cream Dream, Merry Trees.
Dies: CBS - You Said It; SSS - Life Bubble Vertical 1; WPlus9 - Circle Stackers 1.
Coloring: Archival Ink - jet black; Distress Ink - peacock feathers; Inktense pencils (for shadow).
Others: White and off white cardstock, gray and red cardstock; Lawn Fawn - Hello Sunshine 6"x 6" paper pad; Amy Tangerine "Sketchbook" 6”x6” paper pad; Bo Bunny "Lemonade Stand" 6”x6” paper pad; Simple Stories "SN@P Everyday" 3”x4” cards; BasicGrey Alphabet stickers; Kelly Purkey - Alphabet stickers; Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine stickers.
Thank you for visiting.
Made with Inkadinkado stamps, Basic Grey Que Sera paper, and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Stains by Ranger.
I think I needed to keep my hands busy last night and spent a ridiculous amount of time fussy cutting and paper piecing this sweet flower from 3 different BasicGrey True Love papers. I had to add black enamel accents (my new addiction) and some glossy accents to the center. I stamped the envelope pattern stamp onto desert storm cs with HA Wet Cement, added a Heydey sentiment and some MS pearls. I think I'll just color this lovely flower next time and leave the paper piecing to the experts!

I made a quick card using a few of the wonderful items that I received from Barb after her recent Scramble, including: BasicGrey's Kneehighs & Bowties 6x6 patterned paper, BasicGrey's Kneehighs & Bowties Metal Tabs and a Doodlebug Design Doodle-Pop (get well).
I added a few of my Hero Arts stamps, including Notebook Paper (K5731), Life of the Party Dots (CG298), and Script Messages (AR137-Archivers), as well as some Ranger Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass).
Thanks again Barb for the wonderful and thoughtful prize!

Starless Table Runner from the Twisting With The Stars Quilt & TAble Runner Pattern.
Pattern now available in my etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/littlelouisequilts
Fabric used "Jovial by Basic Grey for Moda.
This week is the last Card Patterns sketch, #172, I am going to miss the sketches and it has been lots of fun being on the DT. For this card, I made two rosette flowers and stacked them on top of each other, finishing the top one off with Crackle Accent in the centre, and smearing some Rock Candy Stickles on both of them. I discovered that the large flower fit perfectly into the stamped circle from the new Road Trip stamp set from Tim Holtz. It is a car themed stamp, but I love the frame it gave to the flower. It was stamped on patterend paper with Victorian Velvet ink. I finished the layered circle elements off with a dry embossed and sanded kraft core scalloped circle.
The background was made by stamping the Fabric Design stamp with white paint. After it dried, I inked it with Victorian Velvet and Frayed Burlap, and misted heavily with Perfect Pearls and water. I stamped the sentiment with Archival Coffee, and a few dots with Frayed Burlap. TFL!
