Wedding quilt for my sister-in-law.

blogged: woollykat.blogspot.com/2011/09/wedding-quilt.html

I started with KarrieLynne's pattern from the Moda Bake shop (http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/10/boxed-in-quilt.html), added sashing between the larger squares, and then set it on point.

I used a layer cake of Curio by BasicGrey for Moda, Kona Coal, and the binding is Cross Town in Mist from Hometown by Sweetwater for Moda.

Machine-pieced and quilted by me.

Measures 70" x 70".

I did a swap with a friend -- she made my kiddos crocheted hats, and I made her baby girl a little quilt... she wanted saturated, monochromatic pinks -- and these basic grey prints were perfect.

I finished this too late at night before I sent it off to get pictures, so thank you for taking pics for me Jen! (She's a natural quilty photographer, no?). ;)

MA-sochistki scraplift challenge:

logyourmemory.com/2011/02/04/real-life-inspiration-weekly...

Stamping on patterned paper for firts 90 min scramble of 2012 hosted by Karen.

Stamp: Hero Arts / Sizzix Stamp and Emboss (Collage Background 657766)

Paper: Bazzill Basic card stock (Chiffon), BasicGrey (Wisteria - Primrose)

Ink: Ranger Distress (Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo)

Others: Derwent Studio colouring pencils, twine

Inspired by Lucy's card but add more details. Patten paper from Basic Grey Little Black Dress Collection. Small label is Flourishes new stamp/die. TFL!

I made this for Jennifer McGuire's Holiday Thinking Inking class.

The background paper is actually from BasicGrey's basics white paper pad. I stamped it with Hero Arts Flourish Pine then inked it with a few distress inks to get the look.

The Winking Reindeer is colored/inked with distress inks as well. I also stamped Friend Definition on the deer, but it's very subtle. The design is inspired by Jennifer's "Peace on Earth" card.

I am also entering this to this month's challenge.

TFL. =)

This is my card for the challenge. Although there is more info at my blog if you want it (http://lifeinsunset.blogspot.com/2009/05/going-green.html) the supplies are these:

Thank You for peeking! ~

Merci du coup d'oeil ! ~

Here is my take on the new sampler canvases by Basic Grey. I added some of my favorite fabrics, did a little embroidery and added some buttons and felt pieces. These are such a fun way to keep some of those small precious fabric scraps and display them uniquely.

explore #78 thank you!

I don't usually go for the "shabby chic" or "vintage" look, but I just adored the way Lisa's card background turned out on the video and I had to try it for myself. I loved her pink, green, and brown color scheme. And I wanted to try out the way she created the background using a flower stamp with distressing and a bit of cream pencil for accents.

This was also my first attempt at using Liquid Pearls to make accents. Jennifer McGuire made it look so easy to tap them into roundness ... but I think I need a bit more practice.

I really like how the card turned out! Thanks Lisa, Jennifer, & Hero Arts for the inspiration!

this is for a friend who is having fits getting the new house they want started..I'm going to surprise her with it in the mail one day next week!

It's done and washed and I did pretty good if I do say so myself! I am trying to decided whether I am going to name each quilt or not...

I was SO happy when I was asked to be a guest designer at the Stamping A to Z event on Two Peas. My letter is ‘X’, as in ‘X-acto knife’, a basic papercrafting tool. It was one of the very first tools that I bought and I use my x-acto knife on almost every project. I wanted to do something I hadn’t done before using an x-acto knife, and decided to do an altered book with two deep niches. The book was turned into a Christmas decoration. This is the inside. TFL!!

I posted step-by-step photos and lots of close ups on my blog: layersofink.blogspot.com/2011/11/stamping-to-z-altered-bo...
