blog post here

Wedding quilt for my sister-in-law.

blogged: woollykat.blogspot.com/2011/09/wedding-quilt.html

I started with KarrieLynne's pattern from the Moda Bake shop (http://www.modabakeshop.com/2010/10/boxed-in-quilt.html), added sashing between the larger squares, and then set it on point.

I used a layer cake of Curio by BasicGrey for Moda, Kona Coal, and the binding is Cross Town in Mist from Hometown by Sweetwater for Moda.

Machine-pieced and quilted by me.

Measures 70" x 70".

"Blush" collection - Basic Grey

october memories made for art-piaskownica colour challenge

Made this for Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking class at 2Peas. I stamped the flower branch from Asian Frames set randomly on a piece of BasicGrey pp then heat embossed it with clear powder. Then I rubbed terra cotta and butterscotch paint dabber paints (my awesome paint dabber prize from week 3!!!!) all over the embossed piece. After rounding the one corner, I distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink. The bottom pp is also distressed with walnut stain. I think the not-so-perfect clear emboss played into the distressed look...

The butterfly is crackle painted on a piece of Grungeboard then rubbed with some walnut stain and some pearl paint dabber paint, then stamped then embossed with white.

I have so many wishes, and so little room for it :)

So i wrote all my other wishes on the last card in the chain.

I'm excited to be able to share the news that I have designed a quilt pattern to be sold by BasicGrey for Moda, showcasing their new PB&J fabric line.

A sample quilt made from the pattern by Moda is at market right now!

The fabric and pattern will ship in March.

A day with out laughter

1st layout prompt for 365 challenge

Made using a CD and Basic Grey Sultry Papers. Background dotty paper is by Pink Petticoat. Image is by Magnolia, and I have paper pieced the dress with BG paper.

Love this sketch - very versatile!

The BasicGrey (Scarlet's Letter) papers are matted on to silver mirri card and the inner scalloped circle was embossed with the Cuttlebug and Script folder.

I stamped the butterfly on to Basic Grey paper and added dots of silver glitter using Art Glitter Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.

'Happy Anniversary' was stamped using Banana Frog's 'Simple Greetings' stamps.

**Thank you all VERY much for your wonderful comments!!**

I put the details of how I made this card on my blog if anyone fancies a look:

Used Blush by Basic Grey fabric & straight line quilting (a first for me). Measures 51x67.

I love the way of sewing described in Recipe "The BOOKKEEPER" by Kimberly Walus:

www.modabakeshop.com/2009/05/bookkeeper.html#more

One of the ideas of Kimberly was using it as a sewing pouch: that was this what I needed!

I made some small modifications of original recipe - just to have an additional cases for storing hexies, hexagon papers and some notions. Instead of applique flower I added only petals to make a nice addition to fabric covered button.

I used two fabrics from Sherbet Pips (by Aneela Hoey), some limes from Summer in the City (by Urban Chicks), cheks from Sunkissed (by Sweatwater), some strips from Origins (by BasicGrey) and lime fabric for button from Make Life (by Sweatwater).

Because of the fabrics I used I called it Sherbet Spring sewing pouch:)

I covered the fronts with Basic Grey paper.

I did a swap with a friend -- she made my kiddos crocheted hats, and I made her baby girl a little quilt... she wanted saturated, monochromatic pinks -- and these basic grey prints were perfect.

I finished this too late at night before I sent it off to get pictures, so thank you for taking pics for me Jen! (She's a natural quilty photographer, no?). ;)
