I do like black clothes they have a rather elegant quality or they can have. This is a rather lovely look to it even if it is a bit tarty or suggestive. Might do a shoot tonight if I have some time I feel in a silly mood.
On Thursday 16th August 2012 it was the Welshot Imaging Academy evening in Chester and this months theme was “silhouette”. The above image was taken during this evening.
For more information about Welshot Imaging see their web site here:
The model during the evening was Bethany Cammack:

Made it to Flickr expore on 24th Aug 2012
Phoenix, AZ. Finally! These little Black-chinneds are so skittish and next to impossible to get shots of with their purple collars showing but he gave me a few seconds today. These guys live in my yard from March to August every year. They are smaller and flightier than the Anna's.

The bad cold weather is back.. so I parked my behind on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book! ☕📖
If I were to go outside now, I'd definitely be wearing boots though! 👢
So, I feel slightly better than at the beginning of this week. There is so much injustice in the world, BUT... I've seen so many good people. Helping out, speaking out, doing what they can in their own way. That gives me hope! 😊
Have a great Sunday! ❤️
"Spent the most part of last night attempting to photograph the huge storm that rolled over Geelong. I say 'attempting' because in total I got 4 shots with lightning in them, and of the 4 only 2 were usable. I seemed lucky enough to miss the majority of strikes in the 3 seconds I took to fix a composure shots between 30 second photos.
I spent a couple of hours at Black Rock watching it roll over, and whilst I watched the intense storm to the left, I was treated to an incredible sunset to the right of which I'll share in due time."
In this architectural detail, I sought to reduce the structure to its purest geometric form. The stark black and white treatment emphasizes the strong diagonal lines, while the careful framing transforms a functional element into an abstract composition. The contrast between black and white creates a dynamic visual rhythm.
This image was taken in the Northern part of the Black Forest region in Germany. The day I took it we had thick fog and I just loved the mood of the place. I used my Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art lens here with a circular polariser and took several vertical exposures using a mounting rail to avoid parallax effect.

#12 Black & White
This image is appealing to me in both color and black & white, but the b&w definitely demonstrates some of the photographic elements (shape, form, contrast, lighting) that are much more difficult to 'see' with the distraction of color. Naples Botanical Garden, Naples, FL
