Trying out shabby grunge chic a la Mary Kate Olsen. I think this dress is for maternity wear, actually! And these white flats I got from Fat might be my new favourite shoes. I absolutely love t-bars!
wearing:
Le Specs "Tuxedo" sunglasses
Thrifted floral dress
Nine West pocket in fold over tote bag
F-troupe flats
Thrifted Kenneth Jay Lane style apple necklace
We went out for a bit of range practice. Range, in this case, meant pulling over someplace far away from people. We shot for a while, and packed up.
The surrounding terrain was completely barren. It all looks like what you see, nothing except rocks. If you'd have asked me if there were people nearby, I'd have said no.
Within *seconds* of starting to put the guns away there were a half dozen kids at our feet. They were picking up our brass. To refill with bullets.
At no point during the shooting did I notice a single one of them. They probably could have killed me with a knife while I stood there shooting the automatic assault rifle.
No way would I want to be on the wrong side of an insurgency against these kids.

The later South Yorkshire Atlanteans had Voith fully automatic gearboxes. For me, this enhanced the sound they made compared with standard Atlanteans and I was addicted to it from the word go. This is Mainline 1778 with Alexander bodywork new in 1981, heading along Charter Row, Sheffield in the autumn of 1995. Further back is a Volvo B10M and a MK2 Metrobus.
My contact, Walsall1955 has this video of SYPTE Atlanteans and other types leaving Pond Street Bus Station. Crank the volume up and listen for the superb roar coming from the Roe bodied AN68 which is first out of the blocks.
The video is worth a watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it, just for the entertainment value of the 23:15 mass departure and to see the variety that was once on view in the region.
As stated before, I was going to do this without going all the way back to the CdS cell if I could. The original wire is a bit thin, and it doesn't take much effort to cut right through it. I wound up with enough exposed to be able to splice in the wire supplied by the owner. It's a bit thicker, and thus stiffer than the original, so if it caused any problems, it meant replacing the whole wire. Luckily, I was able to make the splice without too much trouble. After doing some research, I decided to get an old computer cable, and strip it for it's wire to use on future work.
A rather overly complicated machine with a single purpose. To create lengths of wire with the insulation removed from either end. (for use in electronics breadboards)

One evening in 2009, I went to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This year, I returned to the city and dropped by the Real Canadian Wholesale Club that can be found on the edge of town. It appears that they now Gyro Tech doors, which replace doors from Horton Automatics that used to be here. Well... that's for the main entrance. Here, there appears to be an older Gyro Tech door, but its functionalities no longer exist. Notice the wood and the yellow stuff coming from the door? It's not going to move ever again.
