If you‘ve seen some of my (unfortunately kinda rare) outside shots during the last weeks you might know that I like the Domiplan a lot! Why, you ask? Oh, you didn‘t? Well, let me tell you anyway:
Firstly, because I like underdogs, and the the Domiplan is definitely one of those. Not one of the big Meyer Optik names, none of the aura, nothing to brag about.
Secondly it offers similar bokeh to the famous Trioplan while having better coating - at least by some accounts! I can‘t compare them because I don‘t have a Trioplan, but I like the effect the Domiplan has!
I’ve read - again and again - that many of these lenses suffer from severe problems (I think seperation in the rear lens), so that may be a factor for the lack of reputation!
If you find one in good condition, I would absolutely recommend it though - it‘s a cheap and easy to use lens - that is if you can find an adapter (or a simple workaround) to keep the pin in that allows you to move the aperture manually! Perhaps the older model (labeled 'Meyer Optik' and not 'automatic lens') doesn‘t have that problem at all… I still have to do some research there! Let me know what you think, if you have used this lens!

With Automatic Train Operation now live between Latimer Road and Hammersmith H&C on the Sub-Surface network, a previously little-used light now shines above the door indicator.
These are "Ready-to-Depart" Indicators, and are lit up to signify platform staff that this train has spent long enough at the station and/or the line is clear and the train is ready to go.
These can also be found on other automatic lines, but in the form of a single light at the platform headwall.

At Brickvention in 2010 I built a 250,000 brick cutaway model of the Love Boat – from the 1980’s TV show of the same name.
One of my favourite models of all time, it really hit home how cool a cutaway model can be, as the pioneer of this display technique I have since replicated it in many other models.
What was funny was that people who had no idea about the love boat automatically assumed as it was a big ship that it was the Titanic, which apart from being a ship had nothing else in common with it, colour, size, shape etc so hopefully this time, people can’t mistake this model for being the love boat!
This model breaks a lot of normal brick building conventions, its sheer size and of course the angle it is on, together with the slice made for a significant amount of challenges, which with a lot of planning were overcome.
It is approximately 120,000 Bricks and took over 250 hours to complete.
Production started on December 19th 2015 and was finished on January the 12th 2016. Just in time for Brickvention 2016

Concretament es tracta del model A, amb frontal i estructura de fusta, el que clarament el distingeix de models posteriors, metal·lics. Es va produir entre 1904 i 1907, però amb l'obturador Brownie Automatic es deixà de produir el 1905. Per tant, data del 1904-1905, ja fa uns 113 anys! En el moment que escric això, és la 2ª camara més antiga que tinc, i aparentment funciona bé.

This is one of the oldest cameras you can use with modern, still being produced, film. Because this camera is one early variant of the Kodak No.2 Brownie, which introduced to the World the 120 format.
It's a more complex model of the Brownie, the No.2 Folding Brownie model A, and it's interesting because still retains most of the structure in wood. The model A was produced from 1904 to 1907, but with that Brownie Automatic shutter only to 1905. So this camera is about 113 years old right now. And apparently still in working order!
