Loggia, design Jakob Timpe
An archetypal bookcase. A modular system conceived as a small-scale architectural
structure, with elements that can be combined using a system of technical joints. By
playing with different lengths and depths, loggia may be assembled in an endless
variety of configurations. Compositions of an airy, almost graphic impact. Geometric
structures that combine simplicity and movement.
The basic module is characterised by three different length measurements (25cm,
50cm and 75cm) and two depth measurements (22cm and 33cm). The modular
elements come in heights of 10cm, 30cm and 40cm, complete with adjustable feet.
Thanks to its wide range of dimensions, loggia is a flexible and versatile project of
poetic charm. All the elements of loggia are in lacquered MDF, available in a choice
of two sober and elegant colours: white and beige.
Una libreria archetipo. Un sistema a moduli pensato come fosse un’architettura in
scala ridotta. Elementi che si combinano fra loro tramite un giunto tecnico. E la
possibilità di assemblarli giocando con diverse profondità e lunghezze, per costruire
configurazioni sempre diverse. Schemi compositivi leggeri, quasi grafici. Strutture
geometriche che uniscono rigore e movimento.
Tre diverse larghezze (25cm, 50cm e 75cm) e due profondità (22cm e 33cm),
caratterizzano sia il modulo-basamento, dotato di piedini regolabili, che i moduli
componibili ad altezza 10cm, 30cm e 40cm; grazie alla varietà delle sue dimensioni
loggia si configura con un progetto poetico, versatile e flessibile.
Tutti gli elementi di loggia sono realizzati in MDF laccato, proposti in due varianti
cromatiche sobrie ed eleganti: il bianco e il tortora.

Compact volumes. Essential clean-cut lines. One distinctive central feature: a
supporting metal structure to which cushions are anchored. Upholstered products
enter the Alias world with a technological spirit in keeping with the personality of the
brand. A system of one, two and three-seater sofa elements designed by
PearsonLloyd, the angular elegance of eleven provides the ideal solution for both
domestic interiors and communal spaces. The slender legs, produced in cast
aluminium and enamelled in various colours, are the unmistakable feature of each
seating element in the eleven collection. The steel frame is strung with elastic
webbing to guarantee maximum comfort and supports the seat, back and armrests
cushions, which are formed in varying densities of polyurethane. Upholstery is
available in fabric or leather with a wide variety of colours and materials to choose
from. Alias suggests a selection of possible frame finish and upholstery combinations,
providing contemporary inspirations to enhance this design project.

The structure is stove-enamelled tubular shell, with the back and seat rests consisting of interwoven elastic belts, available in a single color of a combination of shades. The resulting form is Zen inspired; of studied yet simple elegance. A harmonious and balanced composition derived from meticulous attention to each detail; the calculations for the diameter of the tubular steel, the structure's interlocking system, the invisible system used to secure the elastic belts.

conic white and grey stove enamelled steel. Tables and small tables are developed with
the same structure, on a round or cross base, with tops available in different shapes
and dimensions, made of aluminium with laminate or veneered in different wood finishes
including the new canaletto nut one.

TEC - a modular table designed by Alfredo Häberli - has now come to enrich the Alias
range of products.
This elementary modular table features slender legs in die-cast aluminium that are
hooked onto an extruded aluminium structure set back relative to the edge of the
table top. On the one hand, this configuration achieves an interesting visual effect as
the top seems to be floating in the air and, on the other hand, thanks to the
structure’s rigidity, it is able to support extremely long tops thereby making it
possible to choose from a very broad range of sizes.
Depending on the material used, the table top can be had in different versions: from
an extremely thin all-white top to a painted glass top available in a variety of colours
or a whitened oak version.
The legs and structure can be painted in a choice of four colours: white, yellow,
aubergine or a new anodized coating.

Un tavolo elementare componibile caratterizzato dalla gamba, in pressofusione di
alluminio, dal design slanciato, che si aggancia ad una struttura in alluminio estruso

Tindari and taormina both feature a padded shell made from techno polymer with
flexible polyurethane foam designed for a soft seat, with fully removable covers.

A symbol in the history of design, it is the first Alias chair to appear in the MoMA
collection of New York. The structure is in stove enamelled or chromed steel, the seats
and backs in the distinctive woven PVC, subtle in the transparent version and more striking
in the various coloured versions. Also available in variants like leather hide and the
special straw of the paludis series that enable unexpected tactile and visual experiences.
Simbolo nella storia del design, spaghetti chair è la prima delle sedie Alias entrate nella
collezione del MoMA di New York. La struttura è in acciaio verniciato o cromato; le sedute
e gli schienali sono prodotti nella caratteristica tessitura in tondino di pvc, discreti nella
versione trasparente e più decisi nelle diverse tinte. E ancora, in varianti come il cuoio e la

A strong grasp of form and composition has given life to a collection of tables
characterised by great flexibility in terms of shape, size and range of uses. The project
derives from the idea of creating a broad and differentiated range of designs.
The legs in die-cast aluminium are fixed both to a central base and to the table top
forming a solid structure. The number of legs may vary as a function of the dimensions
of the top, available in different shapes and finishes.
Un’intuizione compositiva che dà vita ad un sistema di tavoli di grande duttilità nelle
forme, nelle dimensioni e negli utilizzi. Il progetto nasce dall’idea di ottenere una serie
ampia e differenziata di modelli. Le gambe in alluminio pressofuso sono fissate ad
un sottopiano centrale e al piano del tavolo, componendo così una solida struttura.
Il numero delle gambe è variabile a seconda della dimensione del piano, disponibile
in diverse forme e finiture.

Agile and sturdy, the modular supporting structure of the system is made of extruded
aluminium profiles, with die-cast elements. The shelves, drawers and flap doors are
made of sheet steel stove enamelled in different colours: white, black, ochre, grey and
graphite grey. Glass shelves can be had in three versions: transparent, printed, green.
Methacrylate panels and sliding panels can be: black sandblasted on both faces, transparent,
natural sandblasted, green sandblasted, transparent red, clear smoky black
and white. This elements are also available in the wengé and whitened oak veneered
finishes.
Agile e solida, la struttura modulare portante del sistema è in profilo estruso di alluminio,
con elementi in pressofusione. I ripiani, come i cassetti e le ribalte, sono in lamiera di
acciaio, verniciata in diversi colori: bianco, nero, ocra, grigio e grigio grafite. I ripiani

The teak collection returns to the essence of the setes bench with its chairs, tables
and chaise-longue models. Manufactured with teak wood slats on a die-cast aluminium
frame, the products of the teak collection are resistant over time and pleasant
to the touch. Suitable for outdoor areas, they add solidity and attention to detail
to the outdoor collections.
La collezione teak restituisce nei progetti di sedute, con e senza braccioli, lettini e tavoli
l’anima materica e formale della panchina setes. Realizzati con doghe di legno teak su
struttura in pressofusione di alluminio, i pezzi della collezione teak sono resistenti nel
tempo e piacevoli al tatto. Adatti agli spazi aperti dei giardini, aggiungono solidità

in different shapes and dimensions which rest on cross structure: a cross base available
in different heights in textured white, grey and black stove enamelled steel. Refined
and eye-catching, the cross tables furnish in a distinctive and functional manner, both
home environment and contract settings.
Un‘ampia collezione di tavoli e tavolini, con piani in full color bianco disponibili in diverse
forme e dimensioni, che poggiano sulla struttura cross: una base a croce, di diverse altezze,
in acciaio verniciato, disponibile nei colori bianco goffrato, grigio e nero. Raffinati e d’impatto

The unexpected organic shape of the storage system layout is the result of original
research into the expressive languages of extruded aluminium creating an innovatively
styled version of an item of furniture common in both the home and the office. Used
as a central island or as a room divider, this complex system can be adapted to serve any
purpose. Unconventional and decorative in shape, layout is practical and easy to use.
La sorprendente forma organica di layout, sistema di mobili contenitore, nasce
dall’originale ricerca sui linguaggi espressivi dell’estruso di alluminio e conferisce un
valore estetico innovativo a un arredo di uso comune in casa e ufficio. Isola a centro
stanza o quinta architettonica, questo progetto adatta la sua molteplice morfologia
ad ogni funzione. Un oggetto anticonvenzionale e decorativo nella forma, pratico
e razionale nell’uso.
Collaboration between Alias, Michealangelo Pistoletto and Juan Sandoval - they customized Leleggera chairs by Riccardo Blumer so that grafics of various seas appear on them when grouped. The chairs will be auctioned to benefit the Love Difference organization that promotes art and design in the medditeranean countries. The project symbolizes the integration of the areas conected by these seas: South China Sea, Baltic, Carribean, Black, and Red Sea.

The laleggera collection is the expression of research and technology at its maximum.
The result of combining a solid traditional material, solid wood, with the lightest,
expanded polyurethane, with a filled structure. The external shell in plywood or sliced
veneer multi-laminate available with a transparent varnish finish or various lacquer
colours. In 2009 it became part of the resident MoMA collection in New York.

After having designed the eleven upholstery collection for Alias, the British duo PearsonLloyd has now designed coffee tables to complete the family.
The slim, slender cast-aluminium legs, which acquire new proportions in the tables, are the distinctive feature of the entire project. Subtly sculpted, they hold the lacquered MDF top, forming a solid and simple structure.
There are four different shapes available: a Ø90 cm round top and a 70x120 cm rectangular top for the table with the height of 22.5 cm. A 70x70 cm double square top and a Ø70 cm round top for the 37.5 cm high table.
The range of shapes and the elegant ice white, graphite grey and polished finishes allow the eleven coffee tables to blend into a wide variety of interiors.

Eugeni Quitlet loves exploring the very essence of objects, revealing their inner soul in an unusual and intense vision. This is certainly the case with elle, the new chair designed for Alias. Elegant and comfortable, it has been created by combining different materials. It has an angled and sensual design, with a sensation of dynamism created by the slight forward inclination of its base. The thin join between the shell and the structure creates a flowing and continuous movement. The chair features a number of small but effective ergonomic devices, such as the slight dip in the seat, thereby guaranteeing a sufficient standard of comfort.

The stove enamelled or polished aluminium structure supports the TECH® polyurethane shell in different colours or covered entirely in hide.
The comfortable TECH® polyurethane body can be fitted with an internal cushion, with or without arms, covered in Kvadrat® fabric or leather.
