The laleggera collection is the expression of research and technology at its maximum.
The result of combining a solid traditional material, solid wood, with the lightest,
expanded polyurethane, with a filled structure. The external shell in plywood or sliced
veneer multi-laminate available with a transparent varnish finish or various lacquer
colours. In 2009 it became part of the resident MoMA collection in New York.
Laleggera chair, Compasso d’oro 1998, è un pezzo-icona esposto al MoMA di New
York, al Centre George Pompidou di Parigi e alla Triennale di Milano. Un segno semplice
ed essenziale. Una seduta maneggevole, resistente e impilabile che coniuga leggerezza
visiva e strutturale, grazie al materiale con il quale si realizzano gli alianti: legno con
supporto interno in poliuretano iniettato.

The direct and concise language of Jasper Morrison is applied to the spaghetti chair.
Today, Jasper Morrison offers his own original reinterpretation of this Alias icon, 30
years after its introduction. A highly innovative follow-up, tagliatelle is a chair inspired
by the perfect synthesis of technology and form incorporated in the spaghetti chair,
extracting and reformulating each and every element.

Segesta small armchairs enclose without being cumbersome, with generous armrests
created from the design of the backrest. With smooth, flowing curves, the selinunte
chair is ergonomic and practical. The shell is made of technopolymer, the structure
is made of steel. Its shape and functions are appropriate for prestigious indoor and
outdoor environments.
Le poltroncine segesta avvolgono senza essere ingombranti, offrendo un generoso bracciolo
che nasce dal disegno dello schienale. Ampie e sinuose curve nella scocca disegnano
la sedia selinunte, ergonomica e pratica nell’utilizzo. La scocca è in tecnopolimero.

The system of tables stabiles reflects a precise source of inspiration: the steel structures
fixed to the ground, crafted by Alexander Calder. The lightness and agility of Calder’s
works has been regained. A collection entirely made of wood, of which natural elegance
is applauded by the formal essentiality of each model, that compliments a number
of different seating styles.
Il sistema di tavoli stabiles dichiara una precisa fonte d’ispirazione: le sculture in acciaio
ancorate al suolo di Alexander Calder. All’interno del progetto ne viene ripresa la leggerezza
e la plasticità. Una collezione interamente in legno, la cui naturale eleganza viene
esaltata dall’essenzialità formale di ciascun modello, che si integra perfettamente con
molteplici tipologie di sedute.

The T-shaped frame, in die-cast aluminium, is the key aspect of this design.
It has inspired the name of this collection. A solid shell covered with flexible density
polyurethane foam gives a soft, compact seat. Every detail is considered so that
fabric and leather covers are completely removable.
Il disegno a T delle sue strutture portanti, in alluminio pressofuso, oltre ad essere
la vera sfida statica del progetto, ha ispirato il nome di questo sistema di sedute imbottite.
La compatta morbidezza della seduta è ottenuta grazie a una scocca rigida, ricoperta
con poliuretano espanso a densità flessibile. Tutto è studiato in modo che il rivestimento
in tessuto o in pelle sia completamente sfoderabile.
