Darren's rescue cat Izzy was an intrepid explorer but had one nemesis. When Darren was out of town doing physics research I would take care of Izzy and walk him out in the courtyard. At the slightest sound of an approaching baby carriage his ears would perk up and he would watch the street nervously in preparation to flee and hide. I'm not sure if he was afraid of the squeaky wheels or the squeaky baby but if the carriage rolled into the courtyard he would be frantic to find a hiding place. Sadly, I got news that Izzy passed away today.
The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is a large-sized feline (family Felidae, subfamily Felinae) inhabiting most of Africa and parts of the Middle East. It is the only extant member of the genus Acinonyx. The cheetah can run faster than any other land animal— as fast as 112 to 120 km/h in short bursts covering distances up to 500 m, and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to over 100 km/h in three seconds.
This cat is also notable for modifications in the species' paws. It is one of the few felids with semi-retractable claws.
The cats are entertaining us at Catmosphere Cat Cafe, Chiang Mai. Bengal cat watching a feline co-worker who has jumped to a high shelf above me.
Yogi is 15 months old. She looks just like her mama, Pippi. Her mama came to AGR ready to deliver an "oops" litter. This lucky girl never had to race. She is in a very loving forever home.
