If you see carefully (they all are looking in one particular direction), these gazelles are alerted. Thats because a cheetah was nearby. Any minute now, they are ready to run away. And they eventually did, before the cat could even come close - curtsey : the jeep circus.

Some excitement on the beach: the shark alert was sounded and everyone came out quite smartly. The surf boat patrolled back and forth for quite some time. Apparently a shadow had been sighted a few times in recent days so they weren't taking any risks.
And a good time was had by all.
Have you heard that when you look between a dog's ears at midnight you can see ghosts? Well, in Texas, if you look through a dog's ears at sundown, you'll probably see an armadillo.
Heavily cropped due to the fact the Deer was 60 metres away and I only had the 105mm attached. I could have got nearer, but the Stag seemed to be getting agitated, so i err'd on the side of caution. Taken at Tatton park in Cheshire.
We took the ferry from Port McNeill to Alert Bay. We missed seeing Oprah; she had been there the day before and the town was still abuzz. But, that was okay. We saw beautiful totems at the burial grounds and spent time at the awesome U'Mista cultural center. The Potlatch Collection is incredibly moving. I recommend it 200%!

After climbing many steps, i reached a sitting area of a relaxed atmosphere. There were only around 4 people. I approached somewhat slowly and quietly. It was good that i did too, because i was then able to capture this dog napping.
But what happened right there and then was quite exciting. The dog's ears shot right up about 4 seconds after shooting this picture. The next moment, the dog had darted. It was chasing another dog which had just approached on my left hand side. This dog was alert while sleeping!
