Had to photoshop the apple to bring the green out and go over the background to remove texture from the backdrop to give it that cleaner look.
Did purposely over expose this because the objects was on a stand and I didn't want it to show in the picture.
A favorite snack or dessert: apples and cheddar is far more than the sum of its parts.

Scavenge Challenge: November #19) We're getting close to those big holiday meals. What should we have for dessert?

And for the end of the year . . . too much post processing. Once in a while I give in on that and just go wild.
Another foggy, cold, sick day at the in-laws in Sacramento. Feeling a bit better again, but still not well. A quick walk around the yard this morning was the full extent of me getting out of the house. While on that walk I noticed a single apple hanging in the apple trees. A quick bit of hunting revealed this angle which I thought was quite fun. The fog was already making the light pretty cool, I set the WB on the camera to tungsten to exaggerate that effect. In bibble I cropped a bit, put a 1/2-stop strength highlight around the apple, sharpened, and put the border on. Really not all that much. And then I ran it through an Orton Effect filter (which one of these days I will make into a bibble plugin.)
As for the holiday, spent the afternoon watching movies on the couch (and napping), and the evening with the in-laws eatin' pizza, watching South Park, and playing Wii. Not a bad way to be. But I'm beyond exhausted and starting to feel a little worse for the sickness, so I'm outta here before 2009 rings in.
Here's hoping 2009 is better all around. Cheers, folks.
