The start of the queue line at the Apple Store, Birmingham Bullring, for the iPhone 4 launch.
Sadly, I wasn't able to get one today as they had run out. I had placed a reservation for a SIM free phone, but as my O2 account is under my dad's name, he asked if I could get the phone on a contract instead. So I cancelled the preorder, but then he changed his mind, so, oops. :P
However, I am now on Apple's "priority list", which means as soon as they get more in, they'll send me an email and I can go and pick one up from the store. I did get to play with one quickly today too, and I must say, the screen is incredible. I can't wait to get mine. :(
No text on the front of case (usually has “Messagepad”).
Case has a slightly sticky/tacky feel to it.
Lots of interesting Prototype tagging on the back (see photos) including: “EVT1#3”, a Prototype Apple Engineering Support Tag, Handwritten “Ground Mod 8/26/93” notation on the typical prototype “FCC not approved” tagging, “Lindy EVT Unit – Pre-Alpha SW”, & “[Lindy]” serial number tag.
No serial number on the inside of the battery compartment.
The rubber port/power cover is missing (they pop out if you pull on them).
The system has been tested & boots with a weird non-standard ding & shows a weird “Lindy Diagnostics 0.01E” screen.

Also known as the ‘Clear Newton’, according to Shrine of Apple, the Newton 110 Developer version was one of around 100 made specifically made for and given out to developers at the 1994 Mac Developers conference.

I'm very pleased with myself.
Virtually everything looks to have taken!
I'd have been happy with a 50% success rate.
These are mostly English West Country cider varieties: Tremletts Bitter, Cjisel Jersey, Dabinet and Hangdown. On MM106 root stock so will be reasonably big trees.
