This is the most favorite computer I used. My Apple IIGS got the signature of Apple II pioneer and its God - Steve Wozniak, the limited edition of Apple IIGS. Hey, though the Apple IIGS display is too blurred now, but the entire set except the monitor is workable!
My IIGS also has Vulcan 40MB hard disk with 512MB RAM, and 9MHz 65816 processor upgrade card from Applied Engineering. GS/OS 5.x loaded. Unfortunately, there is no Flickr group for Apple II, so I sent this to Macintosh groups.
這台電腦是我的最愛,Apple IIGS,國內大概很少人聽過吧,簡單地說,就是 Apple II 的 16bit 版加上 Mac OS 的使用者界面。這台真是超讚的機器,我花了很多時間在這台上,學了 65816 的組合語言,再加上 GS/OS 的 API call(C、Pascal、65816 assembly)。

The apple was hanging by a piece of fishing line that I took out in post.
One of my favorite things about Halloween :) I'm kind of a caramel addict, but I love candy apples, too.
Apple blossom after rain, in evening light
It's a bit of a natural riot in the back garden, everything's in bloom - the apple tree, cherry tree, strawberries and lavender are out in force. There might even be some fruit later in the year if the sun decides to come out again, ever. : )
Our apple harvest, set 1, NE Seattle, WA, 13 Oct 2024.
Actually just a few of the over 600 apples we harvested this season from our two dwarf apple trees we planted as wisps when we moved here over 35 years ago. To prevent apple maggots and apple coddling moths from ruining them, we hand wrap each apple when they are very small with mesh "booty", which can create some interesting and even beautiful patterns on the skins as the apples mature and color up. This is a selection of some that I thought were cool and worth photographing. Most of the apples are the 'Akane' cultivar, while others are 'MacFree', a later-ripening, somewhat tarter variety, though they are both delicious!

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by…the little boy had grown up, and he no longer played around the tree every day. One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
“Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy.
“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” -The boy replied.
“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”
“Sorry, but I do not have money… But you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money".
The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned And the tree was excited “Come and play with me” the tree said.
“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me? "
“ Sorry”, “I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches
To build your house.”
So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day, The man returned and the tree was delighted.
“Come and play with me!” the tree said.
“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” - Said the man.
“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy”
So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Finally, the man returned after many years.
“Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you…” - The tree said
“No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” - The man replied.
“No more trunk for you to climb on”
“I am too old for that now” the man said.
“I really cannot give you anything… The only thing left is my dying root,” - the tree said with tears.
“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years” - the man replied.
“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come, come sit down with me and rest”
The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…
