A dark, deep, threatening red:

"This is no ordinary apple. It's a magic wishing apple."

I'm halfway through exams and needed a break... the idea/project/thought has been on the cards for a while, but could never get it right: this is 80% there, though. Prizes to anyone who guesses the quote (and, naturally, who reads these descriptions).

Here are some apples from my apple tree...

Enjoy =)

Why did I have to be THIS old before I figured out the secret to preparing apples? I usually choose some other fruit, because I find it uncomfortable to chomp into the side of an apple, due to its shape and the coverage of skin. But cutting an apple into many pieces takes too much time, I often find. Plus, you have the fact that the apple is going to get brown when you expose it too long to the air, unless you put some lemon juice on it or something, which I don't often happen to have on hand.

Recently, I discovered that I can easily and enjoyably eat an apple if I simply cut it in half. It is somehow much easier to bite into this way, than when whole. And all the work it takes to get it ready, is to make just the one slice, right through any part of the apple. Also good, the sliced part does not get brown if I simply lay the apple half right on a plate and put it aside until I want to eat it later in the day. This Half an Apple was left over after I put the other half of the apple in my oatmeal this morning.

Half an Apple makes for the perfect subject for shot 205 of my 365+1=366. How many people in the group are still going? We are almost halfway through the official year, which started for most on January 1, 2012. Congratulations if you are still with it!

As promised to Si-MOCs I would upload one a day. :)

Here is a Apple I made. I wanted to test my sculpting potential without using plates and I think I did a fair job.

BTW This is my first successful Edited photo using GIMP!!!! YAY It isn't perfect, but hey. 1st time is not always the best..

Thanks pasukaru76 for the tutorial and Thanks Si-MOCs for showing it to me. :)

Apple blossom after rain, in evening light

It's a bit of a natural riot in the back garden, everything's in bloom - the apple tree, cherry tree, strawberries and lavender are out in force. There might even be some fruit later in the year if the sun decides to come out again, ever. : )

Ii’s strange when we work with these Apple trackpads on a mac and when we look at the past of the computer interface devices.

Today they are so natural in use that the absence of them is almost intolerable.

I really need a mouse and a trackpad, each one is special depending of what we do.

Magic Trackpad is really beautiful and is a necessity tool for me.

This trackpad has arrived for my iMac yesterday, And I have to give my personal Thank’s to Apple Support Professionals.

Calvados hails from the French region of Normandy and takes its name from the French area most notable for its production. Calvados, or as the locals would call it, "el calvados," is a potent form of brandy made through a two-part process called "double distillation." After distillation, the liquid is then aged in oak barrels for upwards of two years, resulting in a brandy with a nearly 40 percent alcohol content.
