"And the world is like an apple
Rolling silently in space"

I'm quite pleased with the effect obtained by using a very simple setup of natural sunlight and a white background.
So I rummaged around the house and though what can I add to the mix...Obviously really and small mason jar and some orange juice. I have to say I really am starting to have some fun with this still life stuff. I might make this the last of these for the moment, but they may make a return!
Lufthansa & apples havent been the sweetest of things lately.
Neither the one you can eat, nor the one you tag on your baggage have received good press on social media.
The real one, as part of the "tasting heimat " revamp has been much derided by frequent flies who have described the handing out of these apples after the main meal as a hygene issue. Then there's the Apple airtags, booming in sales recently with all the lost & delayed hold baggage, Lufthansa banning them from their flights because of bluetooth signals affecting aircraft communications.
Nevertheless, this one is....ready to eat.

This was a wonderful day for walking! I got three walks in! I started off very close to home and then went to Fish Creek Park.
In the evening I walked into the community. I enjoy the garden plants and trees that the neighbors have grown.
Thanks all for your views, faves and comments! They are all greatly appreciated!
Hubby bought some green apples yesterday for his diet breakfast and I decided to take the opportunity to experiment with the lighting.
Apparently light propped from 12 to 2o'clock would be appropriate especially for table top food photography.
Here I propped a speed light with it's white umbrella facing a white wall to bounce off a less harsh light for the subject. This time the light was propped lower than I normally have it, thus creating a skimming light right across the apples. The outcome was rather satisfying. To bring out some extra shadow for a 3D effect I propped a black card at 7o'clock creating a soft shadow.
Shot using single strobe with a home-made gridded snoot located above right of the apple (obvious really).
