Grizzly Bear
The Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis), also known as the North American brown bear or simply Grizzly, is a population or subspecies of the Brown Bear inhabiting North America.
Grizzlies, like black bears, come in a variety of colors. They can range from blond to nearly black. Sometimes they have silver-tipped guard hairs that give them a "grizzled" appearance. Grizzlies often have a dished-in face and a large hump of heavy muscle above the shoulders. Their claws are around four inches long. Grizzlies usually weigh around 300-600 pounds but can grow up to 1,400 pounds. Adult Grizzlies can be six feet or more when standing on hind legs, and three to four feet when standing on all fours. Based on a multi-year DNA study, it's estimated that there are roughly 750 grizzly bears living within the Greater Yellowstone Area.

Pictures from a quick spin through campus on Tuesday January 12th, 2021. I did notice some squirrels with mange. Luckily, I had my medicated pecans. Fun brief visit with my squirrels. The campus was mostly empty except for the squirrels. It will be like that this Winter Term. Sending love and virtual hugs from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Am 25. September 2021 verkehrte der "Cityjet" 4744.057 als R 7533 von Payerbach-Reichenau nach Mürzzuschlag. Seit auf jeder Station der Semmeringbahn Fahrkarten-Automaten aufgestellt wurden, gestaltet sich der Einsatz von Fahrzeugen freizügiger - sowohl Desiros wie auch Talente verkehren als Regionalzüge. Bei Eichberg konnte ich den modernen Triebzug aufnehmen. Wenn man genau hinsieht, erkennt man im Tal schon den Zug, auf den neben mir schon zahlreiche Fotografen warteten...
On September 25, 2021, "Cityjet" 4744.057 ran as R 7533 from Payerbach-Reichenau to Mürzzuschlag. Since ticket vending machines have been installed at every station on the Semmeringbahn, the use of vehicles has become more flexible - both "Desiros" and "Talent" operate as regional trains. At Eichberg, I was able to take a picture of the modern multiple unit. If you look closely, you can already see the train in the valley, for which numerous photographers were already waiting next to me...

There was a wedding with Bai ethnic people in Shangri-La. Some old women noticed my presence nearby.
Yesterday, on December 18th, our farmers drove through our village with around 100 tractors, agricultural machinery and trucks decorated for Christmas. It's supposed to be a symbol of hope in this times
The fairy lights shone with the eyes of the children (and also the adults) in the competition.

Gestern, am 18. Dezember, fuhren unsere Bauern mit rund 100 Traktoren, Landmaschinen und weihnachtlich geschmückten Lastwagen durch unser Dorf. Es soll in dieser Zeit ein Symbol der Hoffnung sein
Die Lichterketten leuchtete mit den Augen der Kinder (und auch der Erwachsenen) im Wettbewerb.

I've been out of action for a few days, having dropped a major clanger with the old PC so just doing a bit of catching up, here! This is the relatively quiet Christmas Market in Nottingham's Old Market Square at the beginning of December.
It is just great to see things back to normal, the sidewalk full, the concerts starting back next Tuesday. The Summer of 2021 what surprise will it bring?????

I have two pockets watches from my father. This one is made by Hamilton, a Swiss watchmaker. Sadly I do not know where my dad originally acquired this one. It was more than likely inherited from a relative or close family friend.I was drawn to this watch as my subject for the particular challenge as today is the seventh anniversary of my Dad’s death. Anniversary dates draw us into the memories and remind us of the loss. I miss you, dad, and am thinking of you today.
