As I drove on Saskatchewan Highway 2, I spotted a pair of Snowbird aeronautic jet aircraft doing practice runs. They were circling over the old WWII airport near the town of Mossbank.

They belong to the Snowbirds, officially known as 431 Air Demonstration Squadron which is based about 50 KM to the north.

Unfortunately I didn't have my telephoto lens and I was shooting into the sun. But I did get my own personal aeronautics display!

Newcastle O2 Academy 2

I don't usually post up a full set of images up on here but some of these shots I am really chuffed with so i decided to post up the lot.

Failsafe played to a very poor turnout on Thursday at the academy 2. Regardless of this I still really enjoyed the show, great to see a band give it there all and play with so much passion regardless.

2: I love when someone sings to me

This photo satisfies requirement 2. I took it in UW campus in a rainy day and used the auto mode. Then I used lightzone to enhance the light effect to make the picture brighter. it was easy to identify the 2D shape in this photo--line and circle.

I was driving to a friends house in the Waitakere Ranges down a long winding unsealed road and saw this lying by the side of the road. It is so bizzare !

2. I used a Canon Rebel T3 to shoot this photo.

3. The area I shot is similar to the land around it. It is on a path in the wood and has the same types of trees and plants as the other areas in the woods.

4. The area I photographed had thick bushes and many trees. The ground was mostly soil but also had fallen leaves on it. The specific spot I shot was at the intersection between two paths so the ground was more worn down than in other parts of the woods. The trees overhead are losing their leaves yet still have some color.

5. I have noticed that there are many more fallen leaves now than there have been in past weeks when I've shot at this location. The view looking west has considerably changed as the leaves have fallen because it now reveals the stadium in the backdrop.

6. The surface in this location is dominated by Deciduous Forest.

This photo fulfills requirement 2. I used a shutter speed of 1/10 and stayed still while the subject went downhill on a scooter. I was able to use an aperture of f/25 since the sun was very bright. Since the subject appears extremely blurred, it creates the effect that the subject is moving very fast.

Day 2 - I kind of forgot to take photos so I had to pick between two. One is a better photo, one (this) has a more interesting story. Morning room service coffee and first breakfast snack. No sign of Deb yet, so much for this theme I tried to adopt after the fact!

Groundhog Day...If I see my shadow, what does it mean?

About a month ago (September 2), I posted images of white flowers that I thought were hydrangea. Well, I was right; they have been changing colors, as you can see in this photo that I took of the same flowers just the other day. Some of the hydrangea around here turn blue, but these have now turned to a beautiful dusty pink. They are so beautiful that I took a quick photo while I was on a walk in the neighborhood. This is the photo just as it came out of the camera. We have had a few cold nights, so it is good to enjoy the flowers while they last.

whoa!! week number 2, i know is still to recent to say i'm getting this project, better to wait a little more, you know "less talking more actions" oh yeah! i've been in a really good mood these days i don't know why, i suppose, has some relation with my positive attitude, but the way i'm happy too about this positive things, life seems a little more wonderful than usual.
