This photo satisfies requirement 2. I used f/32, shutter speed 3/10 seconds, and ISO 100. I shot this photo as ducks passed next to me in a river. I originally tried much slower shutter speeds but would eventually run into problems with the light exposure. So I made the shutter speed faster and set the ISO to the lowest possible setting until I could both capture motion blur and have a viewable lighting.

Super Hero Cape Tutorial for Go To Sew

I blogged about it here.

On May 2, I attended the Allied Athlete Group Foundation's Athlete of the Year Charity Black-Tie Gala. I support the Allied Athlete Group Foundation which empowers athletes to impact their communities through education and social development. Congratulations to the 2009 athletes of the year!

Bratz dolls change their feet rather than their shoes. I could do with that facility this week :-)

Newcastle O2 Academy 2

I don't usually post up a full set of images up on here but some of these shots I am really chuffed with so i decided to post up the lot.

Failsafe played to a very poor turnout on Thursday at the academy 2. Regardless of this I still really enjoyed the show, great to see a band give it there all and play with so much passion regardless.

I was driving to a friends house in the Waitakere Ranges down a long winding unsealed road and saw this lying by the side of the road. It is so bizzare !

I have a couple of shots.

The first 2 blocks I received in the mail were Blocks 1 and 2...I had to sew them together. Look how nicely they play together!

Similar to my other photo, this one satisfies requirement 2. I again used the same setup, shutter priority mode with a speed of 1 second. This time I zoomed out from the ball of light as I took the picture to create long light trails. In Photoshop, I adjusted the saturation, and I changed the color of the lights to green because the light trails in the photo reminded me of wires on a circuit board.

This photo fulfills requirement 2. I used a shutter speed of 1/10 and stayed still while the subject went downhill on a scooter. I was able to use an aperture of f/25 since the sun was very bright. Since the subject appears extremely blurred, it creates the effect that the subject is moving very fast.

Groundhog Day...If I see my shadow, what does it mean?

About a month ago (September 2), I posted images of white flowers that I thought were hydrangea. Well, I was right; they have been changing colors, as you can see in this photo that I took of the same flowers just the other day. Some of the hydrangea around here turn blue, but these have now turned to a beautiful dusty pink. They are so beautiful that I took a quick photo while I was on a walk in the neighborhood. This is the photo just as it came out of the camera. We have had a few cold nights, so it is good to enjoy the flowers while they last.
