This photo of Allen Library satisfies requirement 2. I tried to position the camera as parallel to the plane of the building as possible to reduce distortion and so that there would be no vertical vanishing point. Even though I used low ISO and small aperture, the light was still strong and resulted in a little bit overexposure of the sky. The image was post-processed in Lightroom to reduce highlights and increase contrast.

Day 2: I took these three photos standing in the same spot at Porteau Cove, a few miles outside of Vancouver, B.C.

Day 2: I had to take Bear his folder that didn't make it to school with him AND I forgot my name tag for pick-up and had to make one and stick it in the window. Yup. School has started.

The applause in response was huge and included one of the many standing ovations for his address.

Somehow I lost track this year and did not get my 365 days photos completed. I ran short a few days. I always start the first photo while I am on the Outer Banks for Labor Day weekend each year. I am going to try another series this year and see if it works out any better.

Part 2. I doubt this pose would actually keep me on a surfboard.

Closer to the I-24/I-75 interchange, with the outer right lane as an exit ramp to enter the Tennessee Welcome Center and Rest Area.

To crate this hanging display I really had to think about what I had previously done in project 1 and 2. I knew I wanted to incorporate the leaves I had studied in project one because the meaning behind them is emotion that I and many others have towards the issues with our planet. Also I had done a bit of research into Kurt Schwitters who had done Installation art before. Rooms filled with shapes in pale colours then a random block of bright colour. Such as blue, orange, pink. This inspired me to use this with in my Installation art. Looking at the colours I had used to crate the leaves in project one. I painted a few of the leaves I had sketched out on fabric in the colour I had looked at in project one. To reflect the message behind the leaves more. To incorporate project 2 is what I found to be the hardest but I chose to use fabric to resemble the leaves because I used a lot of fabric in project 2. This really helped to bring this in.

For all October 6 photos:

2. I used the camera on my ipad.

3. The area that I photographed is similar to all the land around it because it is a hilly grassland area. Although right next to here is a paved road but other than that it is a grassland area.

4. This area is covered mainly with grass and a some pine trees in the East and North.

5. I have just started taking pictures at this site so I do not know what dominated this area over time but I am positive that there were more trees here at one time before it became developed.

6. This area is mainly dominated by grassland with trees surrounding the area. This was taken in the morning on the autumnal equinox with no cloud cover. On this day it was a very warm morning with the leaves rapidly changing colors and the peak of Fall right around the corner. The grass is still green and growing, but will eventually die once winter comes.

yes i have found some time to upload, but not a very special photo, i like her smile en she said, oke just take a picture quikly and than we play on, haha oke , she is very photogenique!

Photo #2- I will just chalk this one up to happy accident. I'm still mid manual at this point. This is a full color shot and I think in this particular shot and I was redirecting the flash with the lens cap. Unfortunately, the shots that really showed off the outside of the candle didn't really make for awesome shots.

Fight number 2 - I am in blue

We spotted our first columbine today at the park... I think that's about it for the Spring Wildflower Show.

Bummer.

Bummer No. 2...

I took about 200 pictures this afternoon - and then discovered a smudge on my camera lens!!!!

I used the Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G on my Nikon D330.The DoF equation is (2CNU^2)/(f^2). I set up the 'N' value to be 5.3 and 'f' to be 55. The camera was 500mm from the subject which is the 'U' value. According to the internet the circle of confusion for my camera is 0.020mm.

Plugging in the numbers we get the equation (2)(0.02)(5.3)(500^2)/{55^2} which gives me 17.52mm but since it's at a 45 degree angle we must multiply our DoF by sqrt(2) which gives us 24.77.

Looking at the image the sharpness ranges from the 13cm to 15cm which equals roughly 20mm which is pretty close to our calculations.
