#9.
Fresh mint from the garden in a mug of hot chocolate. Several aromas and tastes that go so well together. All mixed up in my favorite mug.
Also for What Do You Want? Three Things Assignment: Week 24.
ecided to give it some ponderance and not be funny. well, hope it's a little funny... Just let the tide come in.
So to TWK333: www.flickr.com/photos/twk333/3768600165 and his 10, I give you my ten "things about me" : p.s. decided to go with this photo and repost as sonshine took this 13 days after dad's passing. Today, is the 7th month of my father's deathphysicalplane. I used the red-balloon release memorial for my "16 things" so this is fitting. To me.
#1) I lived in a VW van for a few months with a crazy dog and a 20 year old long haired boyfriend from my first college. We lived in Sequoia National Park for awhile, and got jobs as "census enumerators" for Visalia County. We packed up the van every morning, drove down the mountain (with Fiver the wonder dog) and counted....
We had 37 cents for a week.
I traveled cross-country 4 times).
#2) I am an animal Freak. And my empathy with fur critters is bordering ridiculous.
Alice Walker refers to it as "the temple of my familiar".
#3) 35 years ago (see disclaimer) we loved to "trip" in the huge cemetery in Buffalo. While I went to Buff State. Young and o' so lovely foolish~~~~~
#4) I have always wanted to act. Stage fright prevented me. I overcame my fear at 47 and auditioned for a local play! Brave me! It was great! (thanks for the support Randi and Trevor). ps did not get the part. I coulda been a contenda. I am a natural ham though and loved teaching college. (1999-2004)
#5) favorite movies: To Kill A Mockingbird. And Michael. I Love the cinema!
#6) I majored in the ff: : Photojournalism: English Lit: Forestry (wildlife management- which my dad thought meant "you Squirrel! Over Here!" ) : veterinary medicine and finally: Human Development. (social work/family therapy),. phew. I have a MS in Human Services. I am a child therapist.
#7) I try to live consciously. Not let emotions rule me. Be present without judgment. I do not entertain fear or worry, and when they rear themselves, I watch.
#8) I lived alone in a trailer in the middle of a farm overlooking the mountains with Fiver the wonder dog, and Arbus and Frith the cats. We would ALL go on long walks. I feel most at home in solitude. In Nature. I sit in the center of the Earth.
#9) My son, my sonshine, is my biggest joy. It overwhelms me many times during the day.
#10) I have a closet full A LARGE closet full of diaries/journals since the 7th Grade! as well as boxes of slides, photos, movies, so much. My goal is to get it stored digitally. In this lovely cyber closet! That's the goal.. But I love taking pictures so I am just keeping up with the new digital shots. I know a 35mm SLR backwards and forward as well as BW printing (professionally). I never have to use a meter when I use a film camera. Set everything manually, by "feel".

So I was tagged! :) Yeehaa, so if you've been tagged, I just typed in the first letters of the alphabet and chose you at random. :) (so.. you can untag yourself if you want!)
Here's some things:
1. I just graduated. It feels so weird... not really sure what to do with myself. I've just been sitting at home on flickr mostly..
2. I can get my P plates in less than 2 weeks! Hope I pass my test. It could be interesting.
3. I did my first ever proper photoshoot the other day... it was so much fun!
4. My birthday is on monday, praying for a 50mm lens.. but if not, I'll survive.
5. I'm buying myself 'Photoshop for Dummies".... I need to learn, cause I know nothing.. it's really frustrating having this amazing program and knowing nothing. haha..
7. Jesus is my bestfriend....
8. I just made myself a fanpage.. it felt really really weird.. but if you're keen to check it out it's here. Susanna April Photography
9. I forgot to put my watermark on this.... oh well... Can't be bothered to do it again
10. I'm going to melbourne next thursday for the young australian art awards!! Woweeeewwwoo.. so excited!
11. I gave my computer a virus by watching too much glee
12. You didn't notice I forgot number 6.. accidentally on purpose
13. Last night I went to the beach with my cell group and we sang worship songs to Jesus.. Some guys sat in their car for like a hour listening.. it was pretty cool
14. This is my infamous bulliten board, I love it! There's a full picture in the comments
15. I think I'm done now.. if there's anything I've forgotten, please let me know..?
I have been tagged by Madeline Bea to create a list of 10 things you may not know about me...here goes...
1. The man in the picture above is my husband. His name is Matt. I love him eleventy-seven billion times more today than I did yesterday. He is more than I could have ever imagined I would have in a husband. Did I mention how much I love him ?
2. I was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, but I am about the pastiest pale person you will ever meet.
3. I have an identical twin sister…she is on Flickr, but is really not into photography. Her children look more like me than mine do.
4. I am obsessive about cleanliness. I deep clean my house every 1 to 2 weeks, but in between I clean with Clorox clean wipes…regularly, constantly, daily.
5. I taught high school English for 3 years before my oldest daughter was born. I have been a SAHM ever since…I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! We plan to homeschool our children.
6. I am a little psychotic about the necks of my shirts. Until about 3 years ago, I safety pinned all of my shirts between the top 2 buttons…I didn’t want to button the top button, but that second one was just a little too low for me. I have a drawer FULL of t-shirts, but I only wear a few of them because I can only wear shirts with a “tight” neck. Needless to say, I LOVE TURTLENECKS!!!
7. I love to run. I just started about a year and a half ago, but I can’t imagine not running. It is really one of my favorite things to do. I think I’m addicted.
8. I spent a summer in Chicago during college. I pretty much lived among homeless people and prostitutes the entire summer. God did a great work in me that summer…it changed my life, and now I get to say I lived “on the streets in Chicago”…that was for you, pink.goldfish!!
9. We don’t have cable. We haven’t had cable since we got married, but we get basic channels with the new digital converter box. My husband really likes PBS. I have learned many a thing from PBS while in and out of consciousness.
10. The ONE MAIN THING my life revolves around is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is why I am the mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend that I am. It has given me hope and transformed my life. To think that God became a man and died so that I could live in eternity with Him is overwhelming and beyond me. I am forever grateful.
Ok, everyone...if I tagged you start working on your's!!:)
I was tagged by the wonderful (and fellow Temper Trap fan/concertgoer) clairebelles and so I have to write 10 interesting things about me. This could take a while.. Bear with me !
1. I've lived in the same town all my life, in the same house. I previously intended to emigrate to America when I (eventually) finish a degree, but that idea has been put on the backburner since my three month jaunt last year. I would have a continual conversation with a friend of mine about how I hated the UK. I have such a new found love for my home country since my return from the USA. There is just no place like home. There really isn't.
2. This one is just for Claire. I also have never had a cup of coffee. Although I did have a shot of something last night (no, I wasn't so drunk I can't remember what is was, I just can't remember) which had Kahlua in (a coffee based liquer) I didn't like it, FYI.
3. I hate it when I spell simple words wrong. I hate text speak. I'm 19 years old, and when I send a text, the words are perfectly formed. I haven't sent a text since I got back from America. That means I haven't sorted out my phone. Get up and go, Coral.
4. I act like everything's so hilarious, when in truth I'm really dying of anxiety inside. I'm really quite a shy person who likes to keep herself to herself. I'm trying to improve my outgoingness (I did just make that word up, yes) by not using social networking as a tool for building relationships with people. Let's have a conversation, face to face.
5. As you may be able to tell, or not, depending on the level of your observation skills, I like to have each paragraph finishing at the end of the line. Don't give me no one word lines. That is so annoying. And so obsessive compulsive of me, I know. I'm very quirky.
6. (Claire you better be finding this damn interesting) My Sister took the above picture. I really don't wear beanies and glasses all that often (that's a lie I like wearing beanies) but the glasses made my eyes feel weird so I had to take them off. The beanie I'm wearing actually belongs to my friend, but she has my belt so I took her beanie hostage. I think I was probably reading The Independent at the time. (Broadsheets: I'm so intellectual) It would have been The Times (paper of choice) but they don't have an App (for my iPod Touch, not iPhone !) P.S: The Daily Mail amounts to the majority of the problems in the UK.
7. This should be a "thing" for everyone, but unfortunately it won't be. I hate any kind of racism, sexism, homophobia, disability discrimination or general ignorance. I have friends from all walks of life and I really don't care about their skin colour, orientation, gender, whether they can walk or have to use a wheelchair. It's really not that big a deal. So please stop staring at my friend who uses a wheelchair to get around. Thank you and Goodbye.
8. I'm so tired. I got in at about 0200 and was awake at 0620. I stupidly left my bedroom window open last night (and for those of us who live in Manchester, we know it wasn't the warmest last night) and froze to death. I'm still not warm. Regarding the weather, when I was 13, I slipped on ice. I walked home and into the lounge crying. My Mum told me (in that tough love way that you really don't want when you're in any kind of pain) to stop crying, calm down and tell her what had happened. Needless to say we spent the afternoon in A&E. I had X-Rays and came out with a neat plaster cast on my broken wrist. Yay for showering with a bin bag on my arm for 6 weeks. No PE = the worst weeks ever.
9. I have played 24 songs more than 100 times on my iPod. The Temper Trap: Sweet Disposition (121), Bryan Ferry: Slave To Love (117), John Legend: Green Light (102) Kings of Leon: Sex On Fire (188), The Smiths: The Charming Man (116). I love music and won't go anywhere without my iPod Touch which I'm so glad I bought with it's 32MB of memory, email, WiFi and Apps ! "Sweet Disposition" has been played the most in the shortest length of time. Who wouldn't listen to it on repeat with Dougy's voice in your ears? #nowplaying 50 Cent: Baby By Me (Feat. Ne-Yo) / Don't hate me; I'm about all genres !
10. So here's the end. I wish I could tell you some big major thing but I don't really have much more to say. This was surprisingly a lot of fun and I couldn't decide what to put in, and what not to put in. I changed some things because I decided they weren't very relevant or it wouldn't be that interesting for you all to know my medical history. It's like when you're having a textual conversation with someone and you see that little pen going, but then they stop, and you don't get a message :P How annoying is that? *Does evil laugh and waves*

i've been tagged by quite a few of you lovelies out there..... not my most favourite thing to do.... but here goes.......
- I miss the sunshine. We lived in Asia for 5 years, the Philippines and Thailand, and not a day goes by when I don’t think about it.
- I really look forward to being a nana/grandma one day but I worry about being "the mother in law", it’s just not the same, I see that.
- I’ve kept scrapbooks of all my photos for the past 15 years, but since becoming so involved in flickr this year, I’ve not had as much time to do them. Makes me sad, I love looking back at my books.
- I’ve been in love with the same man since I was 19, and 16 years later I can’t imagine it not being this way. Through good and bad times, I count myself lucky, everyday. we make a great team, much love : ).
- I don’t drink alcohol, just doesn’t agree with me any more, but I still party and stay up longer than most, and now I don’t have to suffer the death of a hangover.
- I’m scared but I’d like to take a proper leap in photography.
- I love cooking and in the last few years, since becoming a mum, i have a developed a love of gardening. Nurturing and watching plants grow is pretty special. I hope for a huge garden and vegatable plot one day.
- I work hard to be an optimist but I’m really a realist and this year I’m trying not to worry so much.
- I’m not the easiest person to cook for, no wheat, dairy, bell peppers, raw tomatoes and aubergine… and wait for it… chocolate. Intolerances linked to my migraines, so I keep away. Don’t worry there is still plenty I can eat and enjoy, I’m good at adapting recipes.
- I'd love some roller-skates.
phew!
and if you haven't played yet, consider yourself tagged...x.
They kicked off some great play this weekend.
A pack of 12 for 97 cents. How can that be possible.
:10 things
i was tagged by erica ann for ten facts about me. you'd think i'd know things about myself by now but apparently it takes me DAYS to formulate ten interesting facts...
1. i have recently become a HUGE fan of avocados.
2. i'm very methodical when doing crossword puzzles. i work the clues across and then
down. and then across. and then down. i don't start in the middle.
3. I am currently reading a book about elizabeth I.
4. i think sweet tea is gross. i mean, why not just eat a dozen spoonfuls of sugar?
5. I can’t listen to music while running. I always feel like I need to keep pace with the
songs and that usually means running faster than I am capable, thus wearing myself out
early on, which means I end up walking for the majority of my “run.” It’s a slippery
slope.
6. I’m not as accepting of change as I used to be. Dramatic change, that is. I like my daily
routines, but big change sometimes overwhelms me.
7. chores i hate doing include washing dishes and folding laundry.
8. i switch my perfume up each season...i mainly use "classic" by banana republic but now i'm wearing "vanilla noir" by bath and body works.
9. i prefer wearing heels to flat shoes. i find them more comfortable...which i recently learned is probably because wearing heels shortens your calves and then wearing flat shoes can feel unnatural. something to that effect.
10. my go-to snack: tortilla chips and sour cream.
I just realized I never uploaded any of the images from a class exercise called "rocket ship". And I still have dozens of other images that might make it here eventually too. :-)
The premise was you are leaving alone in a rocket ship for the rest of your life and you can take only 10 photographs with you to remind you of ... whatever. I took the class at MIT and you'd be amazed how many of those smart students photographed a full laid out deck of cards so they could play solitaire. :-))))
Lots of the students depicted favorite foods as something they'd want to remember, but for me what I'd miss more than the eating is the process of cooking.
I've used this copy of Rossi & Lukins Silver Palate "The New Basics Cookbook" so much that the entire binding has fallen apart and the pages are loose. Time to get another... hardcover this time I guess. This is one of my all-time favorite soups... and it's much better the second day!
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...
Where'd You Go? ~ Fort Minor
I have basically disappeared off of Flickr for the past two weeks or so. I haven't uploaded at all, and I hardly commented or even looked at almost everyone's photos. I'm just going through a rough patch at the moment, and this past week especially has just been so hard on me. I haven't had the energy to pick up my camera or go on Flickr. I will be checking up on all of your lovely photos soon.
I have been tagged, so here are 10 things about me:
Uno - There was a blizzard last night, therefore, we had a snow day today. I needed it more than anything.
Dos - We are having a snow day tomorrow, too.
Tres - I got a much needed haircut about a week ago. I haven't gotten one since August. Two inches off, and my bangs are finally trimmed. I thought everyone would say something about it because it looked so different. One person said something...a couple days later. Well, I was wrong.
Cuatro - THIS drawing of mine was put into a contest. The voting for it opened yesterday, and it closes at the end of the month. You don't even know how excited I am about this. I got to go to the art exhibition last night to see all of the 133 submissions on display. Ahhh, that's sooo, so many! But hey, if you took 3.894 seconds out of your day to vote for my drawing...it would mean the WORLD to me. I am dead serious. Art is my life, and every vote counts. If you do want to help, just click HERE. Find the drawing titled "Shattered Dreams," by Kaitlyn Slack , and vote vote vote!
Cinco - I have a colored pencil drawing that I am nowhere near finishing that was due last Friday. Oopsies. Hardly anyone finished in my class, at least. I guess I will be working on that all day tomorrow. Yippeeee.
Seis - It takes me a really, really, really long time to type up my 10 things.
Siete - I'm having Cugino's barbeque chicken pizza for dinner. I am currently starving. That pizza isn't just calling my name, it's screaming it.
Ocho - My goodness, I love my dogs so much.
Nueve - Sometimes I wonder why it is so hard for me to smile when I am around the one person that I have been friends with for half my life, but then I can smile so effortlessly around anyone and everyone else.
Diez - I am ready to have some fun for once in my life. I have no idea when that fun will be, but I am so ready.
My friend Tomine
with a handful of sunshine.
Which is appreciated, as
we're expecting 15 centimetres of new snow.
Make it stop! Bring on the snowdrops and hyacinth and daffodils!!
The mint, keeps getting over everyday. The phone is my alarm clock. I charge the battery once a month now. The watch is an ancient artifact which is only surviving because it has dual time display. One of China, one of India.
10 Things:
They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but they didn't say sometimes a catchy title will earn your money. Last weekend I was searching on the Chapters-Indigo web site for any new books on astrophotography and astronomy when I found this one published last month. The title was very intriguing and I did some Googling about the author, found a lecture he gave that basically describes this book project he was developing and decided I need to buy it. Now. So it arrived in the mail today.
When I studied biology in university I always had one foot in the humanities. I took a number of courses in philosophy and even a survey course in Shakespearean literature. I submitted articles in the student newspaper and eventually became the editor of the science section. I was trying to bridge the two cultures of science and humanities before I had even heard of C.P. Snow!
So, anyway, this book looks interesting. It's about the end of representation, in the artistic sense, and how images created by the different branches of physics cannot be a representation of the real world, yet they somehow show us aspects of the real world that we cannot see, but are true of the real world nonetheless.
And besides, you can't not love an art history book that devotes a whole frakking chapter to the Hubble Deep Field! :)
The crumbs are the evidence.
:10 things: April #6... Morning Cinnamon Aroma
Every morning my kids want cinnamon toast. They looooove cinnamon toast. I make it just like my mom made for me: a tad of butter spread on bread, a little shake of sugar and a dash of cinnamon. Lightly toasted. Every morning the smell of freshly toasted cinnamon fills my house, my heart and my children's bellies. Ahhhhh.... cinnamon love.
This morning Andrew found a page of heart stickers left over from his Valentines. He peeled each one off carefully and placed them on things he loves. The very first one went on Abi... right there on her heart. Made me all weepy.
Since taking this photo she's acquired one on the back of her diaper (giggle) and one on her forehead.
1. Leo can hold a grudge! If he has been in given a time out or has been told off, he will go off and sulk in his bed for hours. If I try to go in to cuddle up to him he will pull away from me and if I don’t leave the room he will find a new spot to sit, his way of protesting. He comes out when he is good and ready to, but do not try and force him, it just upsets him more.
2. Leo is my shadow. Wherever I am in the house, he is. He curls up in the kitchen when I cook, sits on the bathmat when I am having a shower, wakes up and goes to bed with me, and always has to be touching me when were sitting down watching TV, even if its just by a toe. He doesn’t do this with my partner all at, most days I come home to find them in separate rooms doing their own thing.
3. Leo likes sharing. Often at night he will be sitting in front of the heater with us, on his blanky eating his bone. He slowly sneaks over until he is close enough to put his bone ON your foot, where he proceeds to try and eat it ON your foot with much gutso!! Im always telling him "AH AH, no thanks, take it on your blanket". He also loves bringing me ‘presents’, gently putting his paws over my legs and drops so said present in my lap-usually wet soggy toys that have then been ‘crumbed in dirt’ before being gifted to me… how sweet.
4. Leo loves to steel things! He loves to steel his step brothers toys/bones or my scarfs/bras and parades them in front of you daring you to chase him, its one of his favourite games
5. Leo is my boof. He has so many boof nicknames, and answers to them all. Boof, Boofdog, Boofy, Boofhead, Boofta, Big gorgeous boofa boy.
6. Leo has a step brother! Leo has a step brother named Harpo. We say step brother, even though that are obviously not related, as they are 3 months apart, share a backyard (Although they are separated by wire fencing when not supervised), and have big brother/little brother bond
www.flickr.com/photos/43322262@N03/4062982935/
7. Leo has a fan club! The local kids that is! They just think he is so fab, they call out as he walks down the street “Hey look its LEO!!” … always want to say hello and give him a quick pat as we go past. He was recently given a tennis ball from one of the kids as a gift, so cute!
8. He is a stroppy teenager! He will often ‘talk back’ with a grumble when I tell him to do something, im so sick of asking him “What did I just say?!” before he will actually obey command
9. Leo thinks he is a lot bigger than he actually is. I find it amazing when I see pics of dogs sitting on arm chairs, camping seats, squeezed onto the back of sofas and the alike….. if it isn’t a 3 seater couch, its to small for Leo!
10. He is bad ass when he gets excited. Meaning he can knock your socks off with his bad ass and the wind it produces! He only does it when he gets really excited…. like when we have guest come over.
I've been tagged, so..

9) The best TV series are Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory

:10 Things
The first real day of Spring. Last day of school. An afternoon off. Lunch at LUNCH. A visit to the art gallery with my love.
There is nothing spectacular about this sauce. It tastes just like a sauce I would make. A sauce I would make with perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes.
I miss Summer, and this sauce reminds me that cold and overcast days wont last forever.
Tagged by feejbe42 and pooka loves tomatoes.
The rules: If you're tagged, upload a photo saying you were tagged, put 10 random facts about yourself into the description, and tag 10 other people by adding them to the photo.
Many people have already done this, so I tag Danielle, Jasz, Robin, Sharon and anyone who fancies divulging ten things!
1. I have volunteered for a cat charity for over ten years: I have fostered cats and kittens (many of them traumatised or abused); I have trapped feral cats; I have done fund raising. All of my 3 cats are rescue cats and when I look at them my heart fills with love.
2. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 12. I haven’t eaten meat or fish since then not because I didn’t like it, cos I did, but because I couldn’t, and can’t, bear how they are treated and killed.
3. I am happy to be alone. I can go a whole day doing not much, not talking to anyone at all, and wonder how the day went so fast.
4. My grandmother died in 1998. I have missed her every single day since then. At the end she didn’t regret the things she had done; only the things she hadn’t. She had never learnt to swim or type or drive; she had never been in a plane. One of the last things she said was “is it windy? I love listening to the wind when I am safe in bed”. For a year after her death I had dreams that I was looking for her which always ended by me waking up and having a panic attack.
5. If I couldn’t read or write every day I would go mad like the woman in the book The Yellow Wallpaper. One of the women in my reading group said “ah you are going to be our problem cos you’ve read everything already” (this was an over-statement but the sentiment was generally correct).
6. My partner is also called Sam – and his best friend is called Sam, as is my godson, and one of my mum’s dogs! We were slightly shocked at first, now we don’t care, and it cracks us up every time one of us says “Sam?” and the other says “yes Sam?”. We are Borg.
7. I didn’t like drinking spirits til I was 30. It was like an alarm clock going off, like “hmm … gin … who knew!” But I drink hardly at all now because it makes me feel ill the next day. It is a pest because I am British and, traditionally, we enjoy binge drinking.
8. I would rather answer my mobile than my landline cos I can see who it is on the mobile; I hate answering my landline because it could be anyone. (see no.3!!)
9. I wore paraboots for years, then trainers. Now I can only wear boots or trainers cos I get bad blisters when I wear a new pair of shoes in. I occasionally wish I could be bothered to break through the pain barrier and wear some of the shoes I own.
10. I love TV or films about ghosts, time travel, space travel, the paranormal and various types of apocalypse. Me and my OH regularly talk about the zombie apocalypse and how we might plan for this eventuality (I mean, really, what would I do with my cats?).
You've probably seen the "10 things that require zero talent" memes on the internet. Do those "10 things" really require "zero talent?" I stand with Tom Gimbel. His 2017 article in Time, "'10 Things That Require Zero Talent' Is a Total Myth" argues that all of those "things" require talent. No matter, your perspective on what it takes to do the "10 things," I appreciate these "things" in others and strive to live up to them in my day-to-day life. This sketch is one of a series of sketches based on the "10 things" meme.
My eBay Boots: It's probably a sacrilege to call vintage 1974 Frye Riding boots my E-bay boots. They're so much more than an Internet bargain but, since I only paid $16 for them, their source of pride stems from much more than their fashion appeal. These babies sat in a closet in Brooklin, Maine for 25 years, obviously hardly worn, since the ink sizing-imprint on the inside was still new as the day they were bought. And yes, that Elkhorn was hand-embroidered and the leather is like butter.
haha look how funny...I used to think all the time about that I have never ever been tagged by someone here on flickr.NEVER!My friends are tagged all the time and i stay here like "uh,nobody wants to know anything here?huh?:("
These dayse I have been thinking about this and now look!I've been tagged! And I realized that I don't know what to write HAHA anyway, wooot!I've been tagged HAHAH ok.so..let's do it now.
10 random facts:
1- I spend my day saying things in english around the my home.I finished my english course some years ago and started complaining to my parents that i had no way to practice my english, so they said I could talk all day long in english that they wouldn't care. The first days it was a little strange, but I really wanted to do this, and now I do, and i enjoy it.hahaha
2- One day I was reading what boy wonder writes in his flickr and I found out I have something called Color Synesthesia where words, names, personalities, places all have a clear and distinct colour in my mind.Since i was a kid I used to think this was strange and ask my same if others people think the same way,and I found out NOT!I'm the only person I know [here where I live] that have this.
3- I have a serious "problem", I forget to breath all the time.My mom have the same problem, it's like if we didn't know that we have to breath, and we have to do this, the body don't do this automatically. So, lot's of times i see i'm not breathing and start breathing again as fast as I can.
4- I've had short hair during 6 years. Most of my friends have never seen me with long hair and now I'm letting it grow, what makes lots of people come say something about how different I look now.
5- I used to feel like One million dollar baby when I was boxing.I've learned a lot about life and myself too.I could see how strong I was.I really wanna start boxing again, but there are lots of reasons that I don't do this. unfortunately.
6- I used to HATE taking pictures of myself, but being "alone" and loving photography made me change my mind.
7- I care so much about smell.I can not remember someone's face but I surely remember this person's smell.
8- I don't remember anything about my life until I was 6.Like I said in number 7, only smells make me remember some moments, sometimes.
9- I can go out with horrible clothes but NEVER without black eyeliner.I feel ugly and my eyes looks look a fish eye, or looks like i'm sleepy, or that i cried or someone punched me hahaha seriously.
10- I'm completely mad.I have crazy thoughts and i have to keep it to myself cause most part of the time, people don't understand it.I have crazy dreams, i see crazy things, I laugh all the time and most part about my thoughts. My mind is a big messy funny colorful black and white trip.oh yeah.

Thank you to my flickr friend banquo{}, who tagged me to give 10 things about myself. I don't think there is one interesting thing about me, so here are 10 very boring facts...
1. I had Lasik surgery on my eyes in 2000 and have been able to see better than 20/20 ever since.
2. I love to blog, but can't find a lot of time to do it. But if you want to read it, here is where you can find it smithbullettrain.blogspot.com/
3. I have more virtual friends than real ones, and even my real friends don't live near me, so I text and email with them mostly.
4. I am not a dog person, but I love MY dog!
5. I have 3 stretch marks. One from each pregnancy.
6. I love to shop, but hate to shop for myself! (Which is verified by the fact that I have had the same two bikinis for the last 9 years!)
7. I just recently started getting hives when I get anxious about things. Mainly on my hands -- and they itch like just like the chicken pox did when I was a kid!
8. I pulled my 11 year old's tooth out (it was really loose and he asked me to wiggle it) because I was sick of hearing about it. And I laughed after I did it! LMAO
9. My heart melts when my youngest daughter tells me every night before bed "I love you more than a sunny day, Mommy!"
10. Man, one more....
I take Prozac for depression (but never on time) and can always tell when its been a few days since I have taken it because I start getting anxious about my house being out of order and go on a crazy cleaning spree. Yikes!
10 Things:
The bookstore owner remarked that she found it amazing that the co-author of the Curious George books created something like this. I told her it was his book, "The Constellations", which I read when I was 9, was what got me interested in astronomy at such a young age. I've always remembered Rey's drawings. I feel like a kid again.
[For you surely will not mean anything, but for me it means so much.
Monday I had a nice surprise by opening the mailbox: the Lucina. The journal of midwives.
And I always feel more good.
I AM a midwife.
I do not wait to be real.]

* 100 - some rows of knitting
* One month to figure out how to correct a knit row that should have been a purl
* ~186 more rows of knitting
* One pregnancy
* Hunting for gingham fabric (& settling for the polka dots)
* Making the piping by hand (since store brands did not match said polka dot fabric)
* Sewing piping to fabric backing
* Hand stitching the blanket to the backing
* Completing 6 rows of french knots
* Completing 6 rows of running stitch
= 561 Days!
It was like a monkey on my back, but it is done. I purchased this yarn just before I became pregnant with Cole. I'm just happy I finished it before he turns ONE.
I LOVE this pattern! It is by Kristin Goedert (http://www.kristingoedert.com/) and can be found on Knitty.com

Helena: If I tell you something weird... will you think I'm crazy?
Valentine: Yes. I expect so.

Rick tagged me to list 10 random things about me, so here you go:
1. June is in 8 days... and if you followed my 365 last year, you know what that means. =) I'm going to try to participate every day in June like I did last year.
2. I feel bad whenever I see someone wearing jeans or pants in hot weather.
3. Before Eva Longoria, my celebrity crush was Kristen Johnston from the TV show "3rd Rock from the Sun".
4. I hate it whenever I go to a car repair shop for something simple, like an oil change, and then they do a "22-point inspection" and they tell me about things that need to be done. The last time I got my oil changed, the guy said that there was $800 worth of other repairs that were recommended (I told him not to do any of it). As a consumer, that leaves you stuck in a dilemma: you don't know whether he's telling the truth or just trying to make more profit from you, and if you try to outsmart him and not have the work done, that leaves you paranoid about what's going to happen with your car in case he was telling the truth.
5. My mom used to always suggest that I make photography my profession, but I've always looked at it as a hobby. There's nothing extra spectacular about the pictures I take, and as far as I'm concerned, anybody can buy a camera and take pictures. My photography is no better than any other shopper at Best Buy.
6. Yesterday, I went to search for 2 geocaches that I initially couldn't find back when I first started caching, and I found them. Now I have a clear conscience. =)
7. Currently playing on my iPod: "Incomplete" by Backstreet Boys
8. It's lunch time and I don't know what to have.
9. Next Monday starts 100 days of summer, and while I'm not promising a picture for all 100 days, I'm going to make an effort to have as many as possible. (Come join us!)
10. This was one of the easiest clone pictures I've made because I took the pictures with a flash due to being in the shadows. That meant there was virtually no difference in the exposure and no brightness/contrast adjustments to make. Just cut and paste. :D
As is the tradition, I have to tag other people so they can list 10 random things, so I'm tagging....... all my fellow HBM'ers! Yup, get to it and add a list of 10 random things to your bench picture if you haven't yet taken yours today!
HBM!

These tall coneflowers grow along the brook, which is shaded by tall trees so the light is always dappled. It means that minute by minute during the day the light shifts and spotlights different flowers for a short moment. Even though the flowers are ragged and bug-gnawed, I love the way they look. I love the way they pop out of the dark. They're one of my favorite things about August.
