L'església de Sant Pere de les Puel•les és el que queda de l'antic monestir del mateix nom i tampoc es conserva igual que la construcció original que en successives destruccions i restauracions ha anat canviant el seu aspecte.
Sant Pere de les Puel•les va ser un monestir benedictí femení situat a l'actual plaça de Sant Pere de la ciutat de Barcelona.
El monestir va ser fundat al segle X amb el patrocini dels comtes de Barcelona, la documentació més antiga que se'n conserva és l'acta de consagració de la seva església romànica, que feu el bisbe Guilarà el 945. El monestir va reemplaçar l'anterior església de Sant Sadurní, que ja existia al segle IX. De la construcció del claustre hi ha documents del 1143.
El monestir va tenir un paper important en la configuració del barri que l'envolta, fora muralles fins que el rei Jaume I en va fer construir les noves, que resseguien l'actual ronda de Sant Pere i tancaven el barri de la Ribera, enderrocat parcialment pels ocupants espanyols després de la guerra de 1714. El desenvolupament de la zona es va veure afavorida pel suport dels comtes i la presència del rec comtal, un curs d'aigua que facilitava l'activitat industrial.
El conjunt va ser afectat per les desamortitzacions del segle XIX i actualment només es conserva l'església, reconstruïda totalment després de l'incendi del 1909 durant la Setmana Tràgica, l'original era de planta en creu grega i l'actual és de planta basilical.
El claustre fou enderrocat el 1873 però se'n conserven 10 arcs gòtics del segle XIII, són a les finques 1 i 3 del carrer Sant Ignasi de Terrassa. Font: Vikipedia

1. I chose this filter because i figured it made the main element of art in this image stronger, while cutting out all the noise of the rest of the image
2. This filter enhanced my image by making the lines the only thing you can clearly see, so their effect of pushing your attention up to the top is multiplied, while still keeping the texture of the CN tower intact but toned down
(1) I think I did not consider if the base could support the whole seesaw, since the seesaw is only supported by one point.
(2) I think that all designs are unique and has each own pros and cons.

i've wanted to do individual & groups shots for a few weeks now but ended up rushing through them when darren called & said he was on his way to pick me up.
Continuing with an exploration of Sony in-camera jpg generator "Creative Styles" using "Light" as the basis for B&W images. The idea is to under-expose a scene by 1/3 of a stop and convert to BW after downloading images onto a tablet or small computer.
The goal is to have something "presentable" for when I'm on the road and don't want to wait until I get home to work on RAW files.
On a tablette I'm able to tint BW images on the tablet using Snapseed as well, which sort of mimics what I can do on the Big Computer.
I'll see soon enough if any of this is worth pursuing as we have several adventures planned for the Fall. Having said that, the places we'll be visiting will probably be best expressed in color.
[Update: Change of thinking] For that I've found I really like Sony "Creative Style - Neutral." Of course I'd be shooting RAW+jpg. The change from "Deep" to "Neutral" comes after realizing that it becomes complicated to nudge the AWB with the editor and to desaturate the scene to -1. I can never remember to do these things, even saved as a Custom Setting. So, "Neutral" it shall be from now on. It'll make life easier for me.

Motion Reflection
1. I came up with the ideas from a lot of different websites. I do have a focal point it’s the way that the wind chimes and the leaves move. I was trying to capture the way they move with the wind. It was not really intentional because of the way that the photos came out. I pushed myself to capture something with a really small amount of movement.
2. The photos are all taken outside. I used natural lighting from sunset. My location was in my neighbors yard. I captured the frozen / motion by messing with the settings of my camera, though some of the settings I couldn’t change very much because there wasn’t really anything that I could change it to make the photo look the way I wanted it to. I only attempted on location but, about 4 different objects.
3. I used Photoshop. For this part of the assignment I didn’t really have to do much to the photos just a little cropping a lighting of certain parts of the photos.
4. There wasn’t really a mood or connection I wanted to capture.
5. The most successful aspect of this part of the assignment was that I was able to capture what I wanted. The least successful was that I wasn’t able to capture the objects the way I wanted to. I would fix a lot within these photos. There wasn’t really anything difficult about this assignment. I was in some way able to achieve what I wanted. The motion wasn’t really difficult I think that I will fix it at another time by replacing it with another photo.
