This boat was flipped upright when we first arrived, and once we were about to leave, i went over and saw that it had flipped upside down. The water had risen a lot in the 2 hours that we were there.

(You'll notice the climbers' headlamps as they are making their way to summit before daybreak.)
Its been well over a month since I got in the water with a my water housing.. I sold it actually. I'm waiting upon a new one, should be soon!
I can't wait to get out amongst the waves and surfers again, it has to be the most challenging yet rewarding type of photography that one can do.

One of the Cooper Hawk's attack maneuvers is to fly fast and low to the ground, then up and over an obstruction to surprise prey on the other side. Today his obstruction was me. It has been an unusually warm day so I was sitting outside reading, with my camera by my side. Without warning, the hawk flew about 2 feet from where I was sitting toward a bluebird just leaving the bird feeder. Fortunately, the bluebird escaped and the hawk flew up in the tree above me. This was the best shot I could get.
A beautiful sunny day in Folkestone, but the recently installed beach huts are somewhat surprisingly underutilised.
This is the last picture taken with my drone 'Viola May 3' before she met her demise under the M5 Avonmouth Bridge.
I was positioned directly under the bridge, the underside of the roadbridge was a good 80 ft above my head.
66783 was running early and had pulled up at the stop board. I had taken many shots which were not planned and i was well into a low battery warning period.
Not wanting to miss Biffa's departure i hovered my drone approx 20 ft above my head whilst i dug out a fresh battery. Whilst distracted my drone went into return to home mode. This involves flying directly up to a height of 300ft before returning to its exact launch spot and then landing. Unfortunately there is no overhead proximity sensor on the drone and she hit the underside of the motorway, spun off and became trapped on a girder.......Bother !
Luckily i managed to transfer my days pictures off the drones memory card before the battery went completely flat.
Luckily Andy Hoare was packing a spare which he loaned me for the rest of the shoot. Thanks Andy.
So here is the final shot of the drone which is 66783 working the 6C92 0822 Margam to Portbury.
Viola May 4 has already been dispatched.
In my life I learned
How to love
How to smile
How to be happy
How to be strong
How to sing
How to work hard
But...
I didn’t learn how to stop MISSING YOU!!!
Something's Missing
There used to be buildings here back in the early 1970s. That's the 9th Street side of the Benjamin Franklin Residences. There was a Vitamin Specialties shop on the corner. I used to work there in 1973. Now it is just a parking lot.
Holy crap, has it really been almost a year and a half since I posted? I've gotten distracted by a pesky thing called a "job". But hasn't been all work - I've also done a ton of cycling. I really miss expressing my creative side. And I'm missing flickr and seeing all your fabulous photos. New vow - make time for my creative. Hoping I can find a way to be somewhat consistent in creating and posting.
We're Here theme = signs. Missing person sign.....
This is also a continuation of my 100x project.
