This monoprint beginnings started with a Crafter's Workshop Stencil I carry at my store, SoftExpression.com and then enhanced with Zentangle Inspiration.
Every time I scan a shaded zentangle, the scanner just doesn't capture the subtle variations. The heart on the original really pops.
Did this one this last week-end at the same time I was working on " Honey's Heart " ... I usually work on 3 to 5 pieces at a time, ... anyway don't know if I should have mixed the bold strokes of the pitt brush pen with the fine lines of the 0.1mm Helix pen or not but thought I'd give it a try, not so sure I like the result but it's all a learning process! ... Can't stand the idea of working on the taxes again tomarrow, but I know it's going to take me a few days ... Happy Weds., to all , will try to get back here & spend more time as soon as possible! :) Missing all of you, your beautiful work & being able to spend time looking & commenting !!! :)
I used my City Scape Tangle on this bookmark. You can see how to create this pattern and download the worksheet on my blog.
On this artful project I used mainly patterns created by members in the freehand doodle pattern group. I used Prismacolor pencils on this one.
Patterns used include:
Sparks and Galatea from Molossus
Dessus-Dessous from AmaryllisCreations
Jash from Zendoodle-Wege
SeaShell from Ledenzer
Thanks everyone for your wonderful patterns and inspirational art posted here!

Christmas Greeting Card(s) for 2012
This pic shows the outside of the card on the top and then the inside view on the bottom.
This page was created using cheap watercolors and gesso. The zendoodle was created on 7 Gypsies cardstock using distress inks and a Copic multi-liner. More info here gesso-dragon.blogspot.com/2011/04/ifjm-post-3-reflection....
sorry, I've turned it around because I actually had it this way when I was working on the tile but still left the title underneath, so now its on the side :))
I found this in my daughter's sketchbook - it's something I drew and my niece Michelle, who was 11 at the time coloured it in.... well well well..... who knew it had a name lol
Was going through the archives of the Zentangle newsletter and I come across this

Here are my versions; they were going to be black and white and in true Zentangle form, but somewhere along the line, flowers appeared and colours emerged :)
Thank you for looking.
Freehand drawn Circles: When exploring Auranot (official tangle by Maria Thomas, Zentangle Founder), I have found starting with shapes I enjoy ends with a tangle, I really like.

After uploading the other Dare (same but pink), I realised the shading didn't come up real well, so I edited again, and whilst trying to get it right, I discovered this look. How very different and colours are more intense so I decided to post them both.
