Hi Everyone ... working on new flower patterns today & decided to post this one, before I sat it aside & forgot about it ... Fast & easy ... can add stems & leaves if you want or just tuck the buds into a tangle anywhere ... use it plain or tweek it with shading & a curl to a petal here & there ... Had to squeeze to get all three pieces in, looks pretty messy , but I'm sure you'll pick it up anyway if you want to. :)
Mirrors, door frames, brickwork - art deco had a lot of these motifs! Good for a repeating pattern, or could be used to make a deco border.
Hi everyone! ... have been away from the computer sinse Sat., ( I think) days & nights are still turned all around ... Did this heart for my Hubby this weekend ... I still get twitterpated over him in the spring time every year! ... I'm going to have a really busy week so I hope that this one can double as my challenge 15 piece ... I'll try to sneak a couple more in, if I can get a break ... Hubby handed me two boxes full of papers & said ... Taxes need to get done! ... Suddenly I did'nt feel quite as twitterpated as before! ... Only kidding, could'nt ask for a more wonderful partner in life ... but I sure hate it when tax time rolls around! ... :)
This one has taken me about a month or more to do and it's still not finished. Losing my interest in coloring it (I think too much about it)
This one came along when I was doing one of the Tangle Pattern Strings and the Christmas season was coming up.
Charris reminded me of Angels on a string. (see link below)
I decided to call the pattern 'Charris' - named after our 2 Jack Russels (Charlie and Harris) who are sadly no longer with us :(
Here is an example of a variation - this is the one that looks like Angels.

Thank you for looking :)
Ok, so there are other ways of drawing this pattern, but it starts with an X and adds lots of Y's. The window in the centre is technically a variation of the pattern, but I liked it so much I left it in.
All my tangle patterns are also available on my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com
This original pattern starts with curly brackets (also known as braces). It's easier to turn the page to do the horizontal brackets in step 2. Lots of opportunity to shade here.

Not the Dutch national airline, but a tangle pattern developed from the typographical elements of the letters K, L and M. As with other tangle patterns, you may find easier ways to draw the repeating pattern once you have the hang of the motif.

A simple pattern, but enjoyable for the negative space left after the shading. A style of Maltese Cross is visible in the gaps.
Check out my blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com for more tangle patterns and a chance to win a unique tangle pattern prize - subscribe by midnight on 30-JUN-11 for a chance to win. This pattern was previously available on my blog.
I wanted to use red and blue in this challenge, and the next thing I thought of was the American Flag - problem was I didn't plan very well and realised once I started that I wasn't going to have enough room!!! I trooped on regardless. Not much tanglation in this one.... still have the rest of the week to do some more :)) thanks for looking.

Another one done for the coloring packets examples ... having a blast doing these ... I feel like I'm a little girl with her new box of crayons! ... I just got my 72 pc. set of Derwents soft colour colored pencils in the mail on Thurs.! ... so many new colors to play with! The pattern in the left hand bottom corner was created by Sandra Strait ... & I love it! If I remember right ... I think the name of it is " Flubber " sometimes I have problems putting the right name to the right pattern ... but anyway, thanks Sandra! :) ... Hope everyone has a great week-end! Original pc. is 5x5 ... this is enlarged to 8 1/2 x 11 ... all done with Derwent soft colour colored pencils & General Kimberlys Water color pencils ( used dry )
A couple of patterns that came to me whilst on the phone yesterday. Gella reminds me of little stick men and Zoose reminds me of those top hats out of Dr Suess' children's books. enjoy! :))
A fun little pattern I created - inspired by... wait for it............ slices of apples.
