I'm way behind in everything, including my comments, which I'll try to fix by end of day. We had a power outage, and no computer access, so I used the time to do a series of zentangles/ziias/ zendalas, all 3.5" during daylight hours in honor of the victims of the latest horrific school shooting.
Here's the tangle that might be new. I looked for similar tangles, but didn't find any. If you know of one or more please let me know. I think it looks like a chevron, and it reminds me of an apron, but in the spirit of zendala (no known object) I decided to call it Flubber Ducky, if it's truly my own tangle. The reason is it was the result of trying to draw flying geese which I flubbed up royally, and it's certainly not a goose, so I thought, how about Flubber Ducky. Easy to draw. If it's really new, it's my first original tangle, made because "there's no such thing as a mistake in zentangles". LOL!
My first Zendala Dare. Tangles from the center: Olb (from Helen Williams' blog), Finery, Phicops, and Tagh
The weekly dare can be found at: thebrightowl.blogspot.com/
I made a few changes to the template by using aura on the bottom most shapes and I also made the stacks more like boxes.
This was done on iPad using the drawing app PROCREATE.
Thanks for looking!

thanks for your time :)
My first ever Zendala. The template is from "PaintChip's" blog.
Much to my surprise I really loved doing this and repeating patterns all 'round the circle. I was looking for an art nouveau type finish, but once I had completed(?) it my favourite part is actually the betweed in the centre.
Thanks for looking. :@) Fi xx
Home safe and sound! Did this lil mandala on the plane, I blame any squiggly lines on turbulence LOL
Not quite classic Zentangle... But close, once I figured out how to draw this pattern inspired by a gourd (rattle? flask?) from the NYC Am. Museum of Natural History. It's all about spacing, spirals and rounding, after all.

I call this pattern Swiros (as in: swirls & rounding).
This weeks Zendala was drawn on card stock with Micron .005 pen, colored with fine line pen, and shaded with graphite pencil. The heart-shaped tangle is from Sandy Bartholomew's book "Totally Tangeled," and is called Flyte. Thanks for viewing. I look forward to your comments.
I'm taking Genevieve Crabe's Mandala class on www.craftartedu.com; and this is my first one, drawn with a ruler, compass, and protractor. (I know! SCARY, huh, except NOT! She takes all the mystery out of the little bit of math and makes it easy. Way easy! This is the first template she walks you through, there's one more, which I will do, and then I will make my own. Such fun! BTW, mine is different than hers by the tangles in the sections.
