Last Friday's simple Zendala (template: from Pocket Mandalas Kaleidoscopes book). Just Strircles and Maryhill.

In your wildest dreams

In the midst of moving this week but managed to find some time to relax by creating a new mandala...nice to de-stress and take my mind off things a bit! ;) :)

A new series of mini-Zendalas (Canson 220gsm paper, 3" circles punched out with an Artemio punch). Tangles: Borbz, Aurabridge connections (flic.kr/p/hNcr85).

Tangles: Baton, Betweed, Rick's Paradox, Ixorus, Ennies. Note: One of these days I will complete a whole challenge without using Paradox or Betweed, but not today, lol.

Mini-Zendalas on 3' circles punched out of watercolour paper - preparing for a demonstration this Sunday. It will be a pancake brunch, hence circles :)

My 1st attempt at a Mandala/Zendala. Not mathematically exact like a lot of them I've seen, but I decided to have fun with it and not worry about it. :)

This is my take on "Hearts for Artoo": My official Zentangle tiles finally got here and I decided to use them for this challenge :) We were to incorporate two themes from the previous weeks to create something for the Diva CZT's younger son (who was at the time, an infant going through a medical emergency). I chose to do "Breathe" and "Orbs" - you need a strong heart to pump oxygenated blood and I thought a round, orb-like zendala would be pretty. (Of course, starting out, I hadn't envisioned that I'd embellish so many points of the orb XD)

In all there are 93 hearts for Artoo ^^

Featuring repetitive hearts

This week's Zendala Dare was drawn on 8.5x8.5 white card stock with Micron .01 Pen and colored with Prisma Pencils and fine-lined colored pens. The tangles used are Betweed and Track Lighting (variation). Thanks for viewing. Your comments are always appreciated.

I used Genevieve's Mandala Templates to set up the pencil guides for this mandala. More info available on my blog: rainbowelephant.com

#Zenuari 2019 Duotone

I am the Diva´s challenge 263. Patterns: Zonked (Barbara Finwall), Schnek (Hanny Nura) and Cubine

This started out as a tile for "It's a String Thing #243: Zenbuttons" but I went down the rabbit hole and lost the layers of button. Patterns used: Arukas, Bummel, Jetties, Cadentoo and Lea.

Mini-Zendala on 3' circle punched out of watercolour paper - preparing for a demonstration this Sunday. It will be a pancake brunch, hence circles :) Spiral string from Diva's challenge #160. It was supposed to be a Knase monotangle, but then Fassett crept in...

My entry into the 100th Diva Challenge uses some of the new tangles created by Maria Thomas especially for this celebration. I created my ZIA on 8.5 x 8.5 white card stock and used a scanner feature to color it in sepia. I also created this ZIA using a cut out snowflake (taught by Erin of The Bright Owl) and filled it with the new tangle Rock & Roll. Congratulation Laura on reaching 100 challenges and thank you for creating fun and challenging ideas each week.

Thanks for looking!

Erin at The Bright Owl, asks us to use our favorite tangles and draw what makes us feel like an artisit. After reviewing some of my work, I came to the conclusion that I really like the Zendalas and ZIA's that feature fine linework. I love drawing the various tangles but I seem to be drawn to grids and tangles that feature intricate line drawing. Here's my offering for this week's Dare. If you would like to find out more or see the other entries, check out TheBrightOwl.com. I used Isochor, Zinger, Paradox, and some flower-like fillers. Thanks for viewing. I look forward to your comments.

Away on a much needed vacation to the east coast but I brought with me some pens and a small sketchbook to doodle inHere's a little progress of a doodle all the way from Newfoundland!

Finished Zendala. I decided to print the cutout snowflake on pink paper and add the lines to it rather then use the traced one. (My tracing leaves a lot to be desired.) Thanks Erin for a fun Dare this week. Making my own Zendala makes me appreciate your efforts every week to provide us with beautiful Zendalas. Thanks for viewing. Your comments are appreciated.

I've conquered my fear ... intimidation really ... of the Zendala and am having a BLAST creating these! I highly recommend the site if you're interested in taking part or viewing the incredible talent there.

Thanks for viewing my interpretation of the dare.

The template is from a children's colouring book (Pocket Mandalas Kaleidoscope), cut out and mounted on orange card stock.

String: Ann Grasso's Zendala template. Tangles: Maryhill, Paradox.

Divas weekly challenge. Patterns:Niuroda, African Artist, (both by Tina-aqua Hunziker) Diva Dance and Purk.

Ammon (SSB), BTL Joos (SSB), Fassett (Lynn Mead) and Akoya (Sandy Hunter) on Rennaisance tile

I am finding endless methods to apply to the original, bare bones 12 Point. This was done using the Paint.net program. It is a free program. I am also working on a third one, utilizing Derwent Soft Colored Pencils

I tried an experiment- a collage of colored tissue paper with the zendala drawn on top.

Used too many colors!

Template from The Bright Owl

Another try at the Zendala. Tried to mix organic and more linear patterns.

Fengle, Uncorked, Use, Narwal

I'm way behind in everything, including my comments, which I'll try to fix by end of day. We had a power outage, and no computer access, so I used the time to do a series of zentangles/ziias/ zendalas, all 3.5" during daylight hours in honor of the victims of the latest horrific school shooting.
