A Lotus Mandala I made as a part of the 5 Days of Mandala Magic course, finished (Sakura Micron 005 on 7" square mulberry paper). Tangles: Maryhill, Copada.
This is my version of Zendala Dare 18. I drew it on Watercolour Paper using a Micron Pen and a cream tombow to shade.
Another Zendala on a page from the children's colouring book Pocket Mandalas :) the templates have hard black lines, so these Zendalas become rather stark&dark. Yew-Dee, Well, Knightsbridge.
Not quite classic Zentangle... But close, once I figured out how to draw this pattern inspired by a gourd (rattle? flask?) from the NYC Am. Museum of Natural History. It's all about spacing, spirals and rounding, after all.

I call this pattern Swiros (as in: swirls & rounding).
I'm way behind in everything, including my comments, which I'll try to fix by end of day. We had a power outage, and no computer access, so I used the time to do a series of zentangles/ziias/ zendalas, all 3.5" during daylight hours in honor of the victims of the latest horrific school shooting.
My third Zendala Dare -- I skipped a few, but might go back and do them out of order. Like my first two, I printed this one on plain 8.5x11" laser printer paper at 50% of full size. I used a Micron 01 black pen and a silver Jelly Roll pen, plus pencil shading. I like the glint of the silver that's visible at certain angles but not overpowering. My partner Jude pointed out that I had put a pentagram (5-pointed star) in the middle of each Zendala; without realizing it or doing it on purpose, I seem to have created a personal "signature" for myself.
A concentric circles Mandala I made as a part of the 5 Days of Mandala Magic course. Sakura Micron 005 and Papermate 300 gold pen on 7" square mulberry paper. Tangles: Knightsbridge, Meer, Paradox, Bird on the Wire & more.

Completed 11/1/2012. This is my third entry (week of Aug 13-19) in the calendar book "Tangle Journal 2012" by Geneviève Crabe. Tangles used in this piece include the following: Medaillion, Rick's Paradox, concentric circles, and geometric improv (i.e., the solid black triangular areas bordered by Rick's Paradox). Used black Sakura Pigma Micron pens and graphite pencil for shading.
