I modified the template by adding triangles around the center to create a star.

Thanks for checking out my Zendala.

This is the weekend to take inspiration from others - this time it is Joanna Quincey CZT who did a mono tangled tile inspired from the Zentangle Primer. I have used the tangle Wadical in two tone ink.

Using a black pre-strung Zendala and a new Sakura white Gel Pen in 05.

Part of a series exploring grid patterns in the round.

Still catching up on dares I missed.

Even if you're not up to the challenge, you can view some incredible submissions! I highly recommend.

Thanks for looking.

a couple of comments on my recent pieces prompted me to think "what if the basic templates where filled in differently?"

So here you go. Print it out, tangle it up, post it and show us.

Have fun!!

here's what I did

My second large drawing, this time I added pencil shading.

Pre-strung on Tan Tile

First one I did. Black and white; using tangleations of Ragz, Baton, and then Striping.

More examples for my class

I call this pattern Swiros (as in: swirls & rounding).

This is the Zendala from the video, complete with the "mistake" :)

Zendala pre-strung black tile with Sakura Metalic Blue, Green, & Yellow Pens

Zendala featuring the tangle Crux (Diva's Challenge last week; not entered: I did finish it in time, but then forgot to upload it). Still unshaded, because I could not decided what would be better: graphite or colour :)

I titled this one, "heART link." It's my art/photo for the day. More details on my blog here...

I was really inspired by Jo in NZ. Your work is amazing! Thanks, Jo for your instructions on your photostream on how to get started on creating mandalas/zendalas. I now have a compass too! I gave you and your work a shout out on my new blog-zentangleinloveland.blogspot.com.

Last one for today; although tomorrow's a new day. I'm having so much fun tangtling on scrapbook paper. But maybe I'll do a ZIA instead. This one features the new tangle called "Auraknot" which Rick and Maria introduced on their site today.

This is a Zendala Dare template nr. 6 (thebrightowl.blogspot.be/2012/05/zendala-dare-6.html) by Erin Koetz Olson. I traced the outline with some masking liquid and coloured the spaces with Tombow markers; then, after removing the mask, tangled all over.

The mask did not apply or lift evenly, but I do like the imperfection of it :)

This Dare is drawn on white card stock with Micron .01 pen and colored with fine line pens and Prismacolor pencils. The tangles used are: Facet, LaBel, and Drip Drop (var.). Thanks for viewing. Your comments are appreciated.

'Fall' or as we call it down under 'Autumn' :))

I used Henna drum, cayke.... you can also see some corn cobs and autumn leaves :)

Zendala dare #19 part 2....I added a rope edge to create the circle needed for a mandala! I like!

Oriental mandala.

Another mini-Zendala (3' punched circle, watercolour/multimedia paper 240gsm). Can't get enough of these lately... Spiral string from Diva's challenge #160. Yet unshaded, and might stay this way :)
