António Félix da Costa heads up Avebury Boulevard in the background as Susie Wolff exits the Jaipur Hairpin - or the Avebury Roundabout as most of us know it.

A stream leads north connecting the Teardrop Lakes - on the other side of the bridge behind the grassy knoll - to Lodge Lake. Interesting pillars and a strange bridge beneath H6 Childs Way, it must serve a purpose to prevent flooding somehow in Milton Keynes.

Lighting test during Camera Club evening with Colin, one of the other members.
Strobist info: Continuous ring-light directly in front of model - camera shooting through the light - and D-Lite RX-One with a small October as a catchlight camera left and behind Colin.
Post-processing: Play with tone curves to increase the contrast, then mono conversion in Silver Efex Pro using the High Structure method. Simples :)

The Liberty Belle is moored by her dock, and not actually in service at the moment - undergoing routine maintenance. The sun is setting and the light is quite wonderful as we head back to Main Street, another chance to get a good reflection maybe...

Another pose from Linda whilst experimenting with different light setups.
Strobist: Single gridded beauty dish on Elinchrom RX4 at 3.0, 45Âş and slightly above the model camera right.
Edited initially in LR5, and then with NikFX Analog Efex Pro 2 to add the light leak effect.

Another day of rain, most unusual for Florida - but we normally visit in January. An afternoon at the malls and the rain had ceased - so we drove to Megan's preferred play area by Lake Toho only for the heavens to open once more. Plan B was a milkshake in McDonalds in the more run-down area of Kissimmee, alongside the inviting Sunrise Motel. Tomorrow promises to be sunny - hooray!

First day of the holiday is always a relaxed and easy affair as we recover from the inevitable delay with Virgin, after a quick run around Target we ventured to Downtown Disney to pick up park tickets and soak up some of the cheapest Disney atmosphere available - free parking too! Mr Potato Head sits outside the "Once Upon A Toy" store, and is already a hit with Megan after she got the chance to build one inside the store.

Not normally the side of the hangar I can see from my office, but sitting on the far side of the Apron made me again realise just how little room there is to get the Global Express through those hangar doors! Amy is put back to bed along with two smaller biz jets which also have names - KELY and MIKE. Strange old place innit?!

Dumbo has relocated as part of the new Fantasyland, and now there are two rides as opposed to the one. Much better theming too - the new Fantasyland will be great when the Mine Train ride opens and removes all the congestion in the central area.

Standing on the pier out to the boats at the Yacht & Beach Club hotel and resort looking across Crescent Lake towards Boardwalk. Nice reflections on the water in this shot which I originally uploaded as HDR but in the cold light of day preferred the original images like this - I should never do a "quick edit" after midnight...!

More rain today, and after a lunchtime thunderstorm it has settled in for the afternoon and evening. This heron was undeterred by the weather and prowled the banks of the lake behind the villa before catching a huge fish which he swallowed whole - before returning to stalk for more fish.

A kid walks down the pier sheltered by his umbrella while someone else shelters on the bench and uses her mobile phone. The fisherman still hasn't moved from his shelter in the distance either - the fish probably aren't interested in this weather.

Sitting at Yarwell Station waiting for Thomas to move from one end of the train to the other. Shortly after he passed down our side we were informed by the conductor we would have to change trains as Thomas had "brake problems" limiting his journey. Runaway train?!
