A rare visitor to Cranfield, this Army Air Corps Bell 212 dropped in today for fuel. I have spoken to the 212's transitting a couple of times, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time one has landed at Cranfield - at least while I've been working.

On a day of firsts this American Airlines B772 roared over while I was on the phone as well, resplendent in her new livery. Do I like it? Not sure. I think the old polished fuselage looked better and the tail is a bit of a mess frankly.

Thought I'd try and get some star trails which perhaps were reflected in the lake. It didn't really work as planned, but got a couple in there. No idea what the two jets were doing, they are approaching us from the south(ish) but never noticed them dog-legging like that. This is about 50mins of star trails, because once more the lens fogged up :(

The new Fantasyland is open for business, although still a large closed off area while the mine train is build. Gaston has his own restaurant now and a fast-food restaurant, and sits high atop another person in the fountain in front of his tavern.

Megan was a bit Yes No Yes No on going on the carousel, but had a good time on it in the end - the loud cackle she's developed was heard many times and she spent the rest of the day saying to everyone who'd listen that she went "up down up down round round" on it!

An easyJet A319 returns from Istanbul to Luton, passing over the rolling fields of Hertfordshire - seconds from touching down in Bedfordshire. Fantastic clouds this afternoon, made for HDR.
Held back and scored 19/20 in the Fields competition, November 2012.

Another variation on my tomato-on-fork theme, this time using a mirror on the desk to reflect the white walls in the studio. I like this version possibly more than the grey background, but need to work out how to light it correctly to get the reflection of the tomato right - this one looks a bit ghostly for some reason. Lit with a single constant light above right, and a reflector on the left front as well.
