"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." - Charles Schulz
It was such a mesmerizing experience walking along that beautiful sandy beach at dawn in Bicheno, Tasmania, Australia
I couldn't decide between these two bee shots. These are from when I went up to Duluth. I had my first bridal shower today. It was fun. I'm not much for being the center of attention though. Thanks everyone for sticking with me through all this busy wedding stuff.
Don't worry, it's just water, I do a lot for a good shot, but not public peeing...you get a ticket for that here in Holland ;-)
She is the sunshine in my life.
Ok firstly don't worry about me talking about not being born female and all the what if stuff its me waffling on as a way of comparison between what i wanted to be and what i have become,
This woman who isn't really real in the true sense. I mean legally talking she doesn't exist she doesn't have a single legal document or any document in her name. Yet that very woman in this photo is the sunshine in my life, she has helped me through so much crud even before she walked this earth just the thought that one day i will be seen as her kept me going when times were hard.
Don't get me wrong my wife and daughter are both equal drivers but they are real real.
Just find it odd that a nonentity can have such an effect on someone . Question now is what is real??? Yeah i know i am :-)
"For life is quite absurd.
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain
with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the
audience a grin."
A while back, when I was feeling down, a friend told me to listen to this song and that it would cheer me up. And it did. So "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" became my go-to song whenever I needed to smile.
However, it's not working this time. Dreading bad news. Dreading life-changing news. And dreading what I dread the most, the effects it will have on others.
I'm not worried. Not really. But worrying people worry me.

This is one lucky Dude from Western Australia. Relaxing after a hard Christmas. lol
Quinns Rocks, Western Australia.
I haven't been feeling well for a couple of days so I haven't done any shooting. But today, the urge just got too strong. So I pulled out my close-up lens and tripod, and played a bit.
We've had this for some time hanging by the front door. You are supposed to put your worries in the basket so you don't bring them into the home. Not sure it works, but I like the idea anyway.
Name it?
I have a project where each piece of art I create represents what a thought or feeling might look like if we could see it.
I have called this piece 'Worry', but what would you call it?

On a big rock at the end of another island in the Prairie. Had to handhold since there's no way to get a tripod out there safely. It's a little moody, but I think it works pretty well as a B&W.
La rosa è senza perché, fiorisce perché fiorisce, senza preoccuparsi di se stessa, senza desiderio di essere vista
(Jacopo Boehme).

The rose is without reasons, it blooms because it blooms, without worrying about itself, without the desire to be seen

As long as the woman from Rijksmuseum
in painted silence and concentration
day after day pours milk
from the jug to the bowl,
the World does not deserve
the end of the world.

The photo was taken at Tisha B'av, a day in which the Jews mourn for the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem,
and of Judea as an independent state (since then, until Israel was established, for almost 2000 years, the Jews did not have a country).
It is argued, that all this happened due to 'unjustified hatred'.
Some use the day to enhance mutual understanding between 'opposites sides'
(whoever they are)
Don't worry, I haven't been setting fire to the kitchen again. This is from the same shoot as Vader. Slightly less abstract, slightly less on fire. I do love the Boba Fett minifig, he's one of my favourites. The early ones weren't amazing, but the current one is perfect.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

As you may be aware in some places around the glob trans rights or even or existence is under threat.
We kind of expect it in some countries of the middle east even if it seems all their menfolk seem to be very attracted to us, We know Russia hates the very earth we walk on.
But when what we call civilized western countries start to erode or rights we have to sit up and take notice. The USA is getting more anti trans even with a change of president, Hungary Poland are the twice as bad and they are part of the EU and even they have no power to stop it. The UK is walking down the same path but for me a really worrying development is the amount of conflict on the issue north of our boarder in a little place called Scotland.
Over the past few weeks we have the LGB Alliance take out newspaper adds openly attacking us, it seems like what I already and that is some gay men lesbian women don't like us because for the gays why would a man want to be a woman and for lesbians we are still men. the Bi addition is just joke for those people just want a relationship with whatever and who ever and don't really fit into the LG groupings but make good allies.
The green party has had a high profile member leave because he feels freedom of speech has been taken away because he cannot speakout against trans people and gets shut down and the same is going on within the SNP and god only knows what the conservatives are up to?
The the thing is, it seems that a high number of people in Scotland want to cancel us out, take away our rights, stop us from transitioning and if we do stop us having any kind of life with limited job protection and next to no protection from assault or verbal abuse. even the basics of being able to use a lavatory are in question.
Now Scotland is a small place and most people are good people but the anti trans band wagon is gaining momentum and lots of people are jumping aboard.
If these people were being so vocal against coloured people they would be called right wing, fascist's, Nazis, But because its mainly white people against white people its not seen that way! and add into the mix that the cause is also being used safeguard females from dangerous men namely us. of course most guys are going to support that argument for they can be seen as the great protectors.
Basically if thisis happening in Scotland a normally very tolerant place. then we should start to be very carful and make sure when we vote we vote for the party that will protect us and not who you would traditionally vote for.
This is a very real concern now with every day another story coming out aimed at attacking us.
Sorry for the political rant but we cannot bury our heads in the sand for we might end up being buried under it.
By the way the Scottish people are good people and i hope they send the right message to those in power just as i hope we all do in our own countries.
They are, however. Daffodil Soldiers, all in a row. Waiting to overthrow winter and bring about spring. They herald those wondrous things that return with spring every year, including, but not limited to:
(i) Rose breasted grosbeaks!
(ii) Hummingbirds!
(iii) Cedar waxwings !
(iv) Algernon!!!!!!
All four are back! Yay!
P.S. For those of you who see my Buttery Yellow And Most Ferocious Daffodil Soldiers as white, might I suggest Safari.
A painted WorryWorm stone that went along with the crocheted one - both done by our friend Beate.
You’d have seen him earlier but I couldn’t figure out how to get my thumb 👍 out of the picture!! Thanks to Touch/Retouch I did !!
"Why worry,
there should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now"

Love the graffiti art around Temple Bar in Dublin. Last time I was there, a few years ago, they had cool faces plastered into the walls, but they've gone now :(
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
One of my favourite verses in the Bible (Matthew 6:25,26).
