"Manichaeism taught an elaborate cosmology describing the struggle between a good, spiritual world of light, and an evil, material world of darkness. Through an ongoing process which takes place in human history, light is gradually removed from the world of matter and returned to the world of light from which it came. Its beliefs were based on local Mesopotamian gnostic and religious movements."

"---By extension, the term "manichean" is widely applied (often disparagingly) as an adjective to a philosophy or attitude of moral dualism, according to which a moral course of action involves a clear (or simplistic) choice between good and evil, or as a noun to people who hold such a view."

Cloud worries.

“The creative process is always interesting and surprising. It’s sometimes direct but more often takes many twists and turns… it’s like following streams of energy. Sometimes there are ebbs where ya got nothin’, then something changes and there’s a new stream to follow. It often feels like the images have their own life and I get to be part of how they unfold. It’s being in that process of unfolding that keeps me engaged, brings pleasure and feelings of connection to the world around me. It’s also fun!” @OolaCristina

Why Worry- Dire Straits 🎵💜

🎼🎧 youtu.be/V5YdlotQ-FI

Baby, I see this world has made you sad

Some people can be bad

The things they do, the things they say

But baby, I'll wipe away those bitter tears

I'll chase away those restless fears

And turn your blue skies into gray

Why worry

There should be laughter after pain

There should be sunshine after rain

These things have always been the same

So why worry now

Why worry now

Baby, when I get down I turn to you

And you make sense of what I do

And though it isn't hard to say

But baby, just when this world seems mean and cold

Our love comes shining red and gold

And all the rest is by the way

Why worry

There should be laughter after pain

There should be sunshine after rain

These things have always been the same

So why worry now

Why worry now

Too many reflections loaded and here I am loading more. These are the end to the reflections as the personal intrusion was the end my friend. No worries about being personally intruded, it is just the way it is, was and hopefully will be. Please step in, out and walk all around my pictures, your pathways are more important than my pictures. When everything else is in balance I try to take an image and create a picture hopefully in harmony.

There are some good links below. My reflected images don’t get many views, here they are though. Some pictures I take I see the reflection opening up the scene. Here the dark cross caught my eye and the potential to extend the original image from a landscape orientation and then from a portrait orientation fired my mind and then, and then someone rose from their lower perspective photography and stood in my scene. Suddenly I was woken from my image making dream. They were a great photography companion and the only reason that I was there and out and about with a camera. No shade on them for elevate themselves from a close-up photography Yoga pose focused on a flower I believe. They can puncture my composed dream frames anytime, also in any place and in all space and none, even if their puncture power means the dream scene has gone.*

The Sun will shine and cast shadows and in inspecting them we can tell the time. We can see line and with a care we can watch the minutes and hours pass as the line moves. If we wish we can look at light as the generative creator of life and we can see shadow as an opposition a place that will not respond to the clarion call of the Sun. Shadow and shade bring about their own distinct wonders and Shadow is created and directed in constant movement by light of varying intensity. We humans have considered good and bad omens from the force of the Sun and from the reaction of shade, shadow and subterranean sunless places as well as the phase of the Moon displaying reflected radiance of the Sun and at times the Moon shrouds the Sun in eclipse of amazing exactness gifting sight of the edge the immediate crown of the star that illuminates us and leaves us to the further distant view of the other stars and planets by night. All this to say Sun and Shadow, direct light and reflection and refraction all the time in world seemingly making and recreating signs and symbols that we divine as the language of light and the symphony of dark. Light is light and lack of light is either less, or even total darkness with no need to try to read the light and to listen to the dark. After this mention of omen and even prediction everything below this is information about the absolutely stunning location.

Hawthornden Castle stands atop several layers of caves that have been extended into amazing chambers visited by many famous people on their Scottish tours. The castle is one of three close together all taking advantage of the steep escarpment that offers natural rock protection above the North Esk river flowing swiftly below. Roslin Glen is home to Rosslyn Castle and many believe the Holy Grail resides here too, there are wonderful legends and fantastic natural formations throughout the glen, plenty enough to enjoy even beyond the quest for the Holy Grail.

The first of a set of 4 mecha I'm (attempting to) build for Mechtober. This was actually a pretty fun build and I like how the colors turned out, although it's a bit less poseable than I originally wanted. I also "cheaped out" and opted for a backpack-style cockpit which I haven't done in forever, but it was very freeing to design the chest without having to worry about fitting a pilot inside.

This mecha also ended up being very similar to my old Andrealphus build, but that happened by pure coincidence.

The theme I'm going for is having each mech fill a specific role like you see in team-based video games. This one is DPS, another will be tank, the third will be support (sniper) and the last will be support (either commander or medic). I plan on building either the tank or sniper next.

Never turn your back to life.

I enjoy taking photos and contemplate on them. I took this simple photo and had some good lessons from it.

Believe it or not, I found out the secret of happiness that a lot of people are desperately looking for.

Always consider the bounties you have. Never think of those you don't.

Nobody has it all in this life. Some people have the money. However they are so sick that they cannot enjoy it.

Some other people may enjoy perfect health but they are sad because they think that money is happiness.

Appreciating what you have and forgetting the things you don't make you happy.

Please contemplate on the following saying of Propjet Muhammed (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him)

On the authority of Abu Abbas Abdullah bin Abbas, one of the companions of the Prophet (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:

One day I was behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) [riding on the same mount] and he said, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”

Another narration reads: Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.

reunited at last.

i'm feeling completely uninspired to do this 365 project right now but i know that will pass if/when a new idea presents itself.

in the mean time, i'm trying not to worry about it.

to simply grab the camera and shoot and whatever appears is okay.

i took eleven photos of yours truly tonight. two of them fought for a spot on today's 365, but this one was the victor. just seemed the more genuine of the two.

to me, this photo shows me just as i am in this moment.

rather drained, living a bit in limbo, but very, very present.

and that's enough.

for now.

don't worry, i should be getting back film today, so i should have some new stuff to put up.

i had a really weird night, yesterday. i was reading auden's essay for class, the sea and the mirror, while listening to a few pink floyd albums on my ipod (which, strangely enough, seems to be the only music i can focus with), and it was such an odd combination of themes, that made this perfect, horrific melody. and it made me take a look at myself, and realize that i need to do something bigger than myself, that this is when it all starts to change.

We were in Newark, on Friday and I had my drone with me but didn't think that I would get into the air due to blustery winds and forecast frequent showers. Not to worry, though. The clouds cleared and the winds were just about liveable so here is a slightly different perspective on Newark Castle, with the Church of St. Mary in the background, as a bonus. This is a 5-frame HDR image, taken with the DJI Mini 3 Pro.

Over the years i have seem girls come and go, they normally last five years or so then disappear something i know can be worrying for those who follow them.

A number of reasons are given yet i have never fully understood why they post so intensely then just stop. Maybe the urge to dress has gone or the buzz has. so that brings me to a question.

If you no longer get a high, a buzz, a kick, from dressing is it time to stop?

I am in a funny place at the moment in as much as i never really got a great feeling from dressing other than it felt right. Now even that has gone and its more a case of its normal. I think the fact that his wardrobe is almost empty has shocked me a little with how much i have changed in a short period and maybe i am a little concerned about the effect that will have on my mental health later in life.

Have to say being half in half out is an odd place to be.

I won't stop being me but if i have these feelings then other do too. If so we should talk about them and help each other out.

For me i am to bloody-minded to ever stop although i might drift away a little from the public eye over time as most full time girls do (no i am not full time) I think because it feels normal without the highs I don't need to seek out the validation anymore. Maybe that's the answer being content stops the need to post everyday??

Anyway I was going for an 80s inspired look in an early Madonna kind of way all be it a little tame. this was a progression of looks from the wedding dress to dance in to this so as you could see me dancing in shoes to what happens next. My dressing for no reason tends to follow that kind of route

I couldn't decide between these two bee shots. These are from when I went up to Duluth. I had my first bridal shower today. It was fun. I'm not much for being the center of attention though. Thanks everyone for sticking with me through all this busy wedding stuff.

She is the sunshine in my life.

Ok firstly don't worry about me talking about not being born female and all the what if stuff its me waffling on as a way of comparison between what i wanted to be and what i have become,

This woman who isn't really real in the true sense. I mean legally talking she doesn't exist she doesn't have a single legal document or any document in her name. Yet that very woman in this photo is the sunshine in my life, she has helped me through so much crud even before she walked this earth just the thought that one day i will be seen as her kept me going when times were hard.

Don't get me wrong my wife and daughter are both equal drivers but they are real real.

Just find it odd that a nonentity can have such an effect on someone . Question now is what is real??? Yeah i know i am :-)

56105 brings up the rear of the Grimsby and West Yorkshire railhead treatment train, this leg being 3S13 08.51 Wrenthorpe Sidings (Wakefield) - Grimsby Town, seen going very slowly at Hatfield and Stainforth, approaching a red signal. 66848 is leading at this point.

Colas took over the operation of the York-based RHTT circuits from DRS this year, usually using 66s on the circuits that didn't run on the Scarborough - Hull line (where 66s are not permitted, and 37s have to be used). I'd found out the previous day that 56105 was deputising for a 66s on this train for one day only (allegedly - although it ended up on it all week!), and with every weather forecast I saw predicting wall-to-wall sun all day and nothing booked yet for work, I decided to take the day off and make the two-hour plus journey.

I'd been told that 56105 would lead on the return from Grimsby (3S14), so I wasn't bothered about getting shots of 3S13 (with the 66 leading, which I assumed - correctly - would be very dirty). However, I set off early enough to make it here (subject to traffic - which was fine), although I nearly went to Knabbs Bridge at Melton Ross (just east of Barnetby) where I thought there was a better chance of autumn colours.

I arrived at about 9.30am (about quarter of an hour before 3S13 was booked, although it was actually running about quarter of an hour late), and found the sun was almost exactly at ninety degrees to the track. Knowing that a partly-lit front of a 56 looks better than that of a 66, I decided to focus only on a going-away shot as that meant I got the 56 (and also didn't have to worry about standing at the side of the road with no pavement, or cross it in a hurry if I wanted both views). Of course, in the half an hour I was here, the sun moved round a little.

On previous occasions, I've successfully chased this train to Knabbs Bridge, but mostly because it used to have a pathing stop at Scunthorpe. However, there is now a direct road out of Stainforth (and Hatfield) to the M18 / M180 junction, so the journey takes less time. I don't know whether it was the new road or the fact the train was held here for a few minutes, but I easily made it to Knabbs Bridge - where I found the trees were much less golden than those in this view!

The exposure data shows that this was not taken in full sun. The thin cloud was burning off, but it was still a little hazy high in the sky - and in mid-November that makes a significant difference to the exposure. I was lucky, however, as a few minutes before the train appeared the light dipped very noticeably as the sun went behind a vapour trail for a minute or two... but then came back out, and stronger than it had been. However, by the time the train came back, all the high cloud had gone - although there looked to be cloud further to the west.

I was surprised to be alone here, although met someone at Knabbs Bridge and was with four others at New Barnetby for the return - and I know there were people at other locations.

I haven't been feeling well for a couple of days so I haven't done any shooting. But today, the urge just got too strong. So I pulled out my close-up lens and tripod, and played a bit.

We've had this for some time hanging by the front door. You are supposed to put your worries in the basket so you don't bring them into the home. Not sure it works, but I like the idea anyway.
