more cases of Cholera, which has been moving from nearby PNG/Bougainville, have been reported in Choiseul and Western Provinces of Solomon Islands.

haven fun outside.this is worrior!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very common for bees to stop and clean themselves right before leaving a flower and I thought it would be cool to catch them in various stages of cleaning. All of the images in this set were taken between life size and 1.5x

Disclaimer: This is not my best work. I was shooting in an insane amount of wind today and some of these images show motion blur (you can see it at the top of the bees eye -it shows up as a rainbow pattern). Some of these images are the reason why I don't worry about diffraction, since it's a minor optical defect when compared to motion blur or being able to nail the focus...

I'm worried. Extremely worried.

at the Festival de Otono, a puppet, designed by kids and built by adults, symbolizing the Mexican boogey man (El Cucui or Kookooee), is burned in effigy along with all the worries for the coming winter.

the only way to grow: play the cards you're dealt as if you know you're gonna win. also, take time to do something silly when life gets you down. doodle on an old envelope. watch a hilarious movie. you gotta take time to feel good amidst the storm.

2/2/09 – i keep doing these tentacle things, i need to switch it up.

oh, and while i was uploading this, i remembered a talk my class got from the middle school counselor, oh so many years ago, about how if you are trying to encourage somebody, not to use negative words. well i have two hopefully encouraging stickers on here already that start with "don't," so maybe i need to switch it up. say stuff, like, "stay strong," or something? ha.

also, my art was featured at yay!everyday, today. thank you Chris. and thank you friends who look at this stuff. it means the world to me.

Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.... Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. (Luke12;22,23,27)

Though they are hard to find there are still legal bucks in Washington. They're just hiding in town after the hunting season closes.

This furrowed face tells a story of its own... of ripe old age? ...of worries uknown? ...of frightening anxieties? But this country lady turned out to be an amazingly cheerful and optimistic forty-five year old!

Dire Straits - Why Worry [soothing song... all my thanks go to a good friend I had some years ago who had shared it with me.]

Today was my luckiest day in a long time! :D I had a History test (I was really lucky because a classmate was missing so I could move to another desk and... well, I cheated! *blushes* xD Then we had English classes and I've spent them with my English teachers who had shown me how to solve some exercises because on Saturday I have a pretty important English competition aaand I kinda want to get the first prize, just like I did one year ago. :D Wish me luck! Oh, and also at Religion I had a test (and I haven't studied anything), but in the 10 minutes break before the test, I read EXACTLY what I had to know so I was done in about 5 minutes! :D I'd say it's pure luck. The luckiest day since last year :D. Now I'm going to study for tomorrow and do my homework (which is kinda big) like a good girl! ^^ (srsly, I AM a good girl! =] I just wasn't in the mood to study yesterday, lol xD)

Hope you're doing greaaat! <3 *hugsss*
