So, there were a ton of tornados all around the Memphis area last night. I heard them break through with "Arlington" on a brief update between Super Tuesday stuff on CNN, and I couldn't help but let out an audible gasp. Arlington is were I went to school between 1st and 4th Grade, and I keep getting conflicting reports as to whether the city I lived in at the time, Lakeland, has or has not been incorporated into Arlington as well. Either way, it's too close for comfort.
I didn't have access to my home computer last night, so I had to wait until this morning to check up on the news, and on NOAA's Website, the 4th listing under Tornado Reports places the tornado right there... just a couple blocks north of my Elementary School.
Very creepy, very sad, very chilling. Especially since I have so many great memories and had so many great times at that school. It was the only school ever where me and both of my sisters were able to go to the same school at the same time - my big sis was in 8th Grade when I was in 3rd Grade and my little sis was in Kindergarden. I don't think any hit the Lakeland area, where our actual house was, but if any did and that house was destroyed, I'd be so messed up. My dad designed that house. He helped even build it on weekends. We'd go to the house and he'd work on the real construction and he'd let us carry scraps and other trash down to the curb or have us toss it in the fire. I remember the birth of that home, I'd hate to hear of its demise so early on in my adult life. My heart goes out to those that are out there and having to deal with the devastation today.

Dodger gets worried when Bella freaks out because someone leaves the house or goes behind closed doors within the house and she attacts the door and barks out of control. I told him today i would try a squirt bottle, cause we have tried rewards for sit stay no bark but its not getting any better. Tiny little puppy worrries are just not good.
You do not to worry about the rain when you come to Thailand. The rain is not more than couple hour a day. It is not like New York city. When I live in New York city, it rains for whole day. haha
We have totally different weather
This shot was taken around the lobby in Koh Chang Tropicana. We stay there 2-3 nights.
The rooms are separated in little houses. And we walked pass the little river on the little bridge to go the the room.
Most of furnitures are handmade. You will feel nature and lovely neath thingy in here.

The pool which near the beach make the water in the pool a little bit salty. I think it is from ocean wind. Really really good resort.
But a little bit expensive for Thai people.

I was thinking and worrying about an old friend today. Just wondering if she's okay. She won't talk to me anymore. Why? Because I tried to stand up for her too many times. Years ago, I stood in between her and a man that was hurting her. I told him to hit me if he wanted to hit a woman. Did she ever leave the man? No. But she left me. I realized today that she has classic symptoms that come from spousal abuse. What I did was the right thing to try to help her and protect her, but sometimes these women are so far gone in the relationship that they don't want help and will stay in denial and defend the abuser for anything. It kills me to think of the kids though. I am angry that she threw me out of her life and started saying terrible things about me, after all I tried to do for her, just because I love her. I am angry she lets him treat her that way, because she won't leave. I am angry she subjects this to the kids and puts them at risk. I am torn apart thinking about them and wondering why do I have to worry, why do I still love them, why can't I just not care? Because they don't even care about us anymore...
I was going to name this "Can I Endure Some More?" from a Rihanna song. But I was reminded of the movie Angel Eyes at the last minute. After the first couple times I saw him hurt her, I saw this movie and just that part about her brother and sister-in-law...that's all I can say.

it's been a hectic week so far... since last thursday... contractions on and off. was gien a shot to make them stop... it is really worrying me because i am only 26 weeks..almost 27. my mom had me whn she was 28 weeks... :/ ugh...
dont worry, even though it wasn't mine, I picked it up and walked the five paces to the closest trash can to throw it away like any good tree-hugging citizen should.

a nice way to spend a beautiful Saturday morning with my fellow sketchers on our monthly sketchwalk - the Ayala Museum was generous to have invited us and be its venue for our March sketchwalk; it is part of the Museum's advocacy to invite local artists/enthusiasts to encourage them to hone their skills to share it with others as well. some sketchers chose their favorite spots within the premises while others drew artifacts, dioramas and other exhibit materials.
while looking for an exhibit material to be my subject of sketch, i stumbled myself by the beauty of this huge tree and decided to sketch it instead. i missed doing monochromatic sketches, so i used my overrated disposable Uni-Pin Fine Water (and fade) proof Pigment Ink.
