The wooden mini-worktable was custom made for this operation.
I created these page one night when my daughter unexpectedly brought home a new little puppy to move with her in a couple of weeks. The tv was blaring, our three dogs were dancing all around, everyone was talking excitedly and I was feeling very stressed. I headed to my worktable to let my feelings out through art rather than screaming at my children and dogs....good choice, right?

This one of a series of books made from the paper I place on my worktable. They form a diary of marks related to the period of time they are in place. Some have dates, this one does not. The paper here is a commercially bought handmade paper, the front nad back covers have been coated in beeswax to give them some strength.
This particular book was produced in 2012 whilst preparing for my Painting with Natural Dyes workshop.
It has a tape binding, so all pages will open flat, the tape used is naturally dyed silk which has been waxed to the cover to secure it.
This book can either be left as an artist's book or you can enter into a collaboration with me
by working into the pages

Seems only fair I should put in some pictures of how my studio looks when I'm working, not as nice and tidy. I surround myself with movable drawers en boxes and books on the floor and the worktable is stuffed with all sorts of materials. Everything needs to be at hand when working ;-)

This is a combination worktable for my clay, and game room for our DnD game on Sunday afternoons; the tall table in the back is where I DM, and the shelves beside it hold my extensive rpg collection. You can just see the open wooden cabinet door that holds my raw polymer clay.
