4 x 8 ft. x 32" high worktable with casters for painter & sculptor.

Welcome to SugarPlumDolls.com I think my cute clothespin dolls make fabulous Christmas ornaments or gifts BUT are now also available as greetings cards, postcards and more..Just to let you know all dolls are individually handcrafted clothespin dolls and make very special gifts or can be used as a holiday ornament. I think they add a personal touch to the holidays! It takes me about 2 to 3 days to make each doll. Each doll has her own personality. No two dolls are alike, some dolls may be similar but because of the handmade process each doll is unique. Some dolls may have slight imperfections in the wood, but aren't we all a little less than perfect! Each doll arrives on my worktable as a blank slate. After I draw on the face, paint the hair and body, then I glue the head to the body then wait a day for the paint and glue to dry. I have a treasure trove of fabric and tulle and I begin to craft an outfit and accessories for each girl. I hope you will enjoy your visit here. You can shop for an actual doll online at www.etsy.com/shop/clothespindolls or visit me on YouTube at youtube.com/clothespindolls where I show you how to make your own Sugar Plum Clothespin dolls and other cute handmade items. Enjoy the day!

Visiting Den Gamle By ( The old town), with Jette, Jette aka Jaedde & Sis

Painter's Workshop. 19th century.

The work of the painter consisted of hanging wallpaper as well as painting and decoration tasks. The painter mixed his own paint. He poured colour powder and linseed oil out on to the granite slab on the worktable on the right. Then he ground the ingredients into a uniform subsance with he muller, the smooth, half-round marble stone. Before 1900, the painter often made his own varnish from boiled flax-seed oil with siccatve aded to it. The brushes were made of animal hair.

The legs are reclaimed from an old Lyon worktable. They were treated with electrolysis, walnut shell blasted then painted. The top is made from 2"x4" lumber. Its amazing what you can do with a hand plane. The surface came out nice enough I didn't even bother to sand. The finish is just outdoor deck stain. For a utility surface, I figured that was sufficient.

This Tuscan-inspired kitchen has three separate movable workstations, each with its own set of four burners and an oven. Our culinary kitchens are outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment including BlueStar ranges. In keeping with our philosophy of innovative education, we've designed special worktables that move easily around the kitchens and fit together to create a variety of configurations, from team islands to line simulations.

I rehabilitated an old table with paint, vinyl, and plexiglas. Now it's my spacious new sewing table! It's 9 feet long!

A box of millinery flowers...I wish I could say they were vintage, but I can never find any vintage flowers that are in good shape, and affordable. So I just pick them up at the craft store when they're on sale, or whimsy strikes, which is often! They are so pretty to me, and I often just leave the box open on the worktable while I'm working. Sometimes, I reach in and rearrange them.

My Christmas cards in production. We like to make our own so we can include the Bible verses that we want to. I printed the inside on the computer and stamped and assembled the outside. The tree stamp was cut from fun foam.

This one of a series of books made from the paper I place on my worktable. They form a diary of marks related to the period of time they are in place. Some have dates, this one does not. The paper here is a commercially bought handmade paper, the front nad back covers have been coated in beeswax to give them some strength.

This particular book was produced in 2012 whilst preparing for my Painting with Natural Dyes workshop.

It has a tape binding, so all pages will open flat, the tape used is naturally dyed silk which has been waxed to the cover to secure it.

This book can either be left as an artist's book or you can enter into a collaboration with me

by working into the pages

If you do that please share the results with me

Book is 12 x 8cm (43/4 x 31/2") and has 60 pages.

Work will never finish. It's forever, leave it for a while to play :)

Here are some small glass pieces I've made to incorporate into my new jewelry designs. I'll have to drill holes in them before they can be connected with chains.

This photo is a portrait of José Manuel Segovia Jimenéz, taken in Ayapa, Tabasco, México in the summer of 2007. José Manuelito suffers from muscular dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair. He earns a bit of money repairing and repainting and repainting icons, and he has his worktable set up by the doorway so that he can watch people pass by on the street. I took several shots of this scene, but there’s something about the lighting and José Manuelito’s eyes that makes this photograph one of my very favorites. - Daniel Suslak

Well, he flew in today -accompanied by a rabbit and two birds he appears to have befriended whilst airborne. A delightful buying experience from beginning to end. From reading the fantastic stories, to being updated on posting time, to receiving the little bear with his lovely (recycled) wrappings & little friends. This is a shop which reminds you why it is best to buy handmade from the creator. I hope you like the picture of his new surroundings. He is flying above my worktable to give me inspiration and to cheer me up and, as you can see, when I am not in there, he has other bear friends to talk to. Thank you so much again - I'm glad I chose him rather than a facial!

I'm growing taller. Yah right! My drawer space is growing upwards. Can't help it. Even the space under my worktable is filling up and I think the family will be making arrangements for me to move into a warehouse if I don't get my act in order. I'm trying, really trying but there is nothing that will make me STOP bead shopping!

Socks for my favorite son...

Short attention span?

Form of ADD?

Summer fibes?

Lack of finish-what-you-started-attitude?

BTW: worktable is covered with handmade art journals, rubber stamps, glue, scissors, old magazines, ink, pens and duct tape. So, everything is pretty normal around here...

The radiator in this room is under my worktable so of course I have to fight the cats for it.
