Last summer, I have followed a cooking lesson about cakes without gluten. It was given by my cousin and a friend of my sister. The first one teaches and the second sells breads or pastry without gluten.
I was not at the morning lesson, about sugar flowers, then my cake is very simple. But it was a delicious and great experiment
In the foreground, my eldest niece's cake, more elaborate : she has made the roses and the decoration
Without a calendar I would still know the month by the return of the Junco, White-throated Sparrow and its cousins in October.

Without a health and safety sign the veils between worlds seemed to have grown thin and even ragged around the demonic clawed gateways. I had no idea that this was in existence til I stumbled into the empty room. All of the apparitions were well behaved and posed nicely for these rushed mobile phone images.
I have been feeling out of this world ill and these bright painted darkly lit mobile phone images have been an unusual joy to edit.

In walking the spiral
moving 'I inwardly
and can feel 'with all your senses
The center of my being
In walking the spiral
I leave the old
and lay it in the column
Mother Earth's womb
In walking the spiral
I recognize the life
and to begin to weave
what will emerge anew

Both the single spiral and the double helix are among the most sacred symbols of Neolithic Europe. They appear on megalithic monuments such as stone circles, temples, burial mounds, loose stones, menhirs - across the continent and the British Isles.
Spiral "oculi" - these are double coils, which have a similarity with the eyes, come mainly from places like the threshold stones from New Grange in Ireland and the temple of al Tarxien, Malta. Similar double coils also feature the Ionic columns of classical Greece.
The "spiral maze" is a commonly used symbol that occurs in all of Europe, from Finland to Cornwall and from Crete to Chartres. Also in northern South America it is present. Spirals placed the snake keeper of the Sumerian temple dar.
The spiral is connected with the idea of death and rebirth, with entry into the mysterious depths of the earth, the encroachment until his heart and leaving the womb in the same way. Sacred dances have imitated this movement, and therefore so use many folk dances, dating from pagan times, the spiral line, move on to the dancers.
"Spiral labyrinth" pattern in churches were taken over by older cult places about which they were built. Labyrinths are not mazes spiral - there is only one way into it, to the center and out again. Not just a cycle, but a journey inward and a return to the outside.
Today we think of the maze only we get lost. In reality it is a InitiationWay - and on the inward journey, it is easier to run than in a maze - even if it seems to be only one way.
Spirals have to do with snakes, with the blood flow, are ecdysis and symbol for instauration. Humans have always been fascinated by the moulting of snakes, it was said that the snake never die, they renew themselves constantly.
In our world we are talking about levels, increase of stairs, up, up ... The spiral stands for cycles, but not as "plain-repeat", but the circle and the development is along the spiral.
Everything is cyclical, but nothing is as it was.
One cannot simply gaze into a star-filled sky without having a camera busy working at the meantime. While we were sitting by the bay, listening to the camera shutter clicking away, the only other sound we could hear was fish leaping out of water. That beautiful starry night was slightly spoiled by occasional interruption of airplane light trails, even at a seemingly remote place like Grand Teton.
Before this road trip (2 weeks last August/September), I practiced on photographing star trails in my backyard for ~ 2 weeks to optimize the settings. I did star trails wherever travel and weather conditions permitted, but only a couple of them turned out decent. Unfortunately, the conditions I used were not optimal as I found out later. For the Rebel XTi, I should have taken shorter exposures (under 60s) to keep the noise levels down. For this image, I had to resort to clone tools to remove a number of noise spots.
The above image was compiled from 16 frames of 120 sec exposures with ISO 400, f/4, and 10-22mm at 10mm.
Marble, on the wall of a church, (outside), in Chiavari, ( Genova).
It was under a glass . so the photo is not very clear

Without a GE engine anywhere in sight, CSX marches the ethanol cans across the Hoosier State, ironically, through the cut cornfields.
Seen here, train B841 (Decatur, IL, DREI run-through to Sewaren, NJ, ethanol loads) does the honors near Cromwell, Indiana on CSX's former B&O Garrett Sub.
... is like a day without alcohol!
Ahoi, captain obvious...
Oi mate, that's Captain Hook for you!
I mean, you need to compare it to something else, be it good or bad or funny.
Say what?
Like... is a lost day.
Ha, I don't remember how many days I've lost to alcohol.
Don't you ever drink anything else?
Like what?
What about water?
But that's unhygienic! There's sharks and ships in it!
Yeah, right.

A rare occasion of having unaltered collectable minifigures from three series (22,14,8) in one picture. This is the same background I used on the red King's Guard. Didn't bother yet to make it a real build, because it's easier to take pictures on an open stage.

The Douglas C-47 Dakota is without doubt one of the most successful aircraft designs in history. It became one of the world's most famous military transport aircraft and saw widespread use by the Allies during World War Two and subsequently by Air Forces and civilian operators worldwide.
DAKOTA ZA947
The aircraft was adopted by Strike Command and issued to the BBMF in March 1993. In 2004, an original and authentic floor and interior was re-fitted to the Dakota, returning the cabin to the original, wartime specification. As there are now no other multi-engine tail wheel aircraft in RAF service outside the BBMF, the Dakota is an important training asset used for initial training of aircrew for the BBMF multi-engine aircraft and for renewing the currency of the Flight’s Lancaster pilots each year. In addition to this role though, the Dakota is a sought-after display aircraft in her own right and, as such, she appears regularly on the air show circuit either on her own or as part of a BBMF formation. She continues to be capable of para-dropping and is used in that role for special commemorative events.
ZA947 is now painted to represent Dakota FZ692 of No 233 Squadron, around the D-Day period in 1944. This aircraft, which was named ‘Kwicherbichen’ by her crews, was involved in Para-dropping operations on the eve of D-Day and subsequently in re-supply and casualty evacuation missions into and out of forward airfields in the combat areas.

Bottlenose Dolphins Drive , January 9th , 2014
A massive Bottlenose pod of 60-70 dolphins was discovered far south of Taiji by the dolphin killers this morning at approximately 8:30am. The pod was driven toward Taiji with haste and greed. At 9:30am the pod was frantically separated into 2 and it appeared that the second pod had escaped. As the first pod was netted in the killing cove at approximately 10:00am, 9 killing boats were driving the second pod toward the harbor and ruthlessly forcing in a second net which divided the two pods for the duration of their imprisonment. As if today was not tortuous enough, these dolphins will remain divided and held overnight until tomorrow morning for a total of 20 hours without food, frantic and traumatized. Captive selection and slaughter will take place just after sunrise tomorrow. — at Taiji , Japan.

🎩A gentleman with a pipe🎩: - I heard even before the Titanic was built and all the noble families headed for the voyage on it, a lot of the shares in their companies were bought up by the Rockefellers and the like.
=
👥Lady in Black👥: - I think it was a set-up too, but let's not talk about it in the train restaurant in front of everyone. Honey, what are you standing there for? There's a seat, sit down, have a nice cake and tea with us. We've got a long way to go.
=
🎩A gentleman with a pipe🎩: - One can only hope that the new train we're travelling on doesn't suddenly collide with some moose on the way too and we don't die, haha.
=
👥Lady in Black👥: - Oh my God, stop making jokes like that! Bone jokes don't make me happy.
=
😿Girl without a cat😿: - I don't want to sit with you all! I wanted to be with my cat... I have a grudge against you all!
=
🙋Snow Elf🙋: - So, what, a lot of the food and technology famous industries will now go to the Rockefellers?
=
🎩A gentleman with a pipe🎩: - It appears so. Now they will decide which nations will have the right to a cup of coffee and which ones will drink just dung. I feel we're not going to an industrialised world, but a world of slavery and Satanism.
=
👥Lady in Black👥: - I'm asking you all to stop this conversation! Let's talk about something light and positive.
=
😿Girl without a cat😿: - What's positive without that ginger lump?
=
*Everyone switched to everyday conversations occasionally drinking hot tea and eating a tasty cake, and only the red-haired girl looked out of the train window into the distance, remembering the warmth and softness of the sleepy cat.*
without breaking a stride, she went from delight to doubt...her brisk pace allowed me just 5 frames...
I have not seen demons in black pants and bare chests dancing with demonesses ( whatever is the correct word for female demons ) in the park. This can only happen in Goa where music and dance is the key to normal living. Even Narkasur with his back to the camera seems to be enjoying his cohorts in dance mode.
A Goan artist can convert with facile grace the dastardly demons into swaying and dancing happy people.
The kitsch reality of a calendar illustration is brought to life in 3 dimension plastic. Goa sure is heaven for -
Listen to the hit song from the 80s while you watch the demons here.
I went out as much to pay my respects to Alan Pegler, without whom this iconic loco would probably not have been saved and preserved steam on the mainline may not be as advanced as it is today.
As in accordance with his wishes, his ashes were scattered in the firebox further down (or should that be up) the line at Stoke so I presume this had already happened by this point.
Here his former locomotive, Gresley LNER A3 Pacific 4-6-2 No 60103 Flying Scotsman is seen aproaching Colton Junction with the 1Z39 Farewell to Alan Pegler railtour out of Kings Cross and up the ECML to York.
60103 was immediately followed by the two West Coast diesels who would return the railtour to the capital later in the day.
It was a very windy and dull afternoon. Nor was it my intention to go here originally since the planned schedule was for 60103 to divert from the ECML at Hambleton and pass through Church Fenton and into York via the Leeds line in the distance on the right. However, recognising that the loco may be re-pathed via the ECML to make up some of the earlier 40 minute delay, I decided to come here by which time the railtour had clawed back some of the delay and so arrived into York only 20 down.
Mossy arms.

The Buen Retiro Park (Spanish: Parque del Buen Retiro, literally "Park of the Pleasant Retreat", or simply El Retiro) is the one of the largest parks of the city of Madrid, Spain. The park belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park.
