Everybody gets a second in the sun
I have a feeling mine has just begun
Music non stop when I close my eyes
Clarity born from such a compromise
and you are almost like me
So why don´t you dance to the music
I hear inside my head
Why don´t you dance to the music
It´s the soundtrack for the end
I´m looking for a place to lie in wait
I quit my job to find a perfect fate
Music non stop when I close my eyes
I need some time alone I found a carpark
that is home
You´re almost like me
-Music Non Stop, Kent

This is often how I take pics of my jewellery during the winter - plonked on white paper, as close to the window as possible and in this instance, sitting on a pile of magazines - avoiding windowframe shadows....not v professional!

One thing about Manchester weather being so ... er, precipitous, is that we do get some wonderful skies when the sun finally peeks through. This is a smoke vent on top of my house that I shoot a lot. I mean a LOT. Why? Because A) my office is upstairs and there are days when I never make it down before bed, and B) it is exactly how far I can squeeze my hand/camera combo out of my crazy tilt-windows and still cut out the outline of the windowframe.

It is the tallest skyscraper in Canton. It is from either 1923 or 1924 and this is the most attractive side of it. I am certain that those white windowframes weren't there in the 1920s.
There's the flag of Canton. Growing up I always quietly made the following substitutions to the U.S. pledge of allegiance when we kids were ordered to recite it in unison at school:
• "the flag of the United States of America" → "the flag of Ca-a-a-anton Ohio"
• "the republic" → "the city"
• "one nation" → "one city"
• "under God" → [silence]

"Who knew Rita's on Landis Avenue was open? Even though there is snow on the ground, Chris Sydlow, of CMC Mechanicals, was happy to find out that the Bridgeton Rita's Water Ice is going to be open through the winter from noon until 8 p.m. Diana Miller said, "We will be here as long as the weather is not crazy and the roads are open," as she serves a gelati to her happy customer."
No big deal, but this was moderately newsworthy in my town.
The only tricky part was that he was outside in the sun and she was inside where it was relatively dark. I selected the windowframe area and bumped up the levels of the inside of the store.
Today's Photo for my project has been put together today, but the Artwork photo's were taken earlier but I thought they were all good and i had to think about what I would do with them. The picture I took today is the actual old window frame to which now becomes home to the best 6 photo's from the School wall where these cutouts appear.
I would think they are the handy work of the students at the Daylesford Primary School and certainly brighten up the entrance and the dull wall as you walk in.
A look at a rear part section on the first floor at the Campbell House. The floor boards above are all in their 1805 locations. The two window frames have been reconstructed. The upstairs window frames, which are original, served as patterns for these. I'm sure that almost everyone who visits the trading post sees this shot opportunity and takes this photo, and I absolutely couldn't resist it either.
Unfortunately, it was right after lunch, and the light on the buttes was very harsh, but we were part of a bus tour, and that's when we happened to be there.

Pretty normal view by the beach on Paros Island, Greece. It's too bad the sun affects this photo so much. The shadow was so dark I let in as much light as possible but I still find the geese too dark and the walkway too bright.
Al Mudhif - A Confluence is a collaboration of Sarah Kavage and Philadelphia-based artist Yaroub Al-Obaidi and his brother Mohaned to build a mudhif at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education (SCEE), possibly the first such structure to be built in North America! A mudhif is a traditional Iraqi ceremonial structure, made of bundled and woven marsh-growing reeds, that serves as a hospitality and celebration space. This mudhif will be made from invasive Phragmites reeds that were locally harvested nearby.
Grand opening Thursday, June 24, 2021, 7-9 pm. RSVP:

my first trip to mcs. i've truly been a lucky girl lately to venture to some amazing places with some exposure detroit friends. what a crazy, stunning, amazing place.
it as if every single window in the whole building has been broken. and this frame has even been bent out. in my mind i see someone trying to escape out this window, although it's many, many stories up.
