Night shot of a brick house with a white door and a window with blinds. A colorful, abstract light pattern is visible through the blinds. The house number "848" is above the door.
I had to stand in the middle of 3rd street in the middle of the day to get the framing right....not the brightest of ideas...

The Lady Chapel at Glastonbury abbey is certainly impressive. They really knew how to build them back in the day!
One of the things that I liked most about Montsalvat was the fact that it is currently a working artists' community. You're free to wander through the grounds, however looking through the windows you get glimpses of hidden everyday life- a vase, a pile pf papers, dishes stacked to dry.
Looking out through the side windows. You can see where the beams supporting the second-story floorboards once ran.
THE RED ROOM by MATISSE
First he paints the room
Green, all green
Vivid, youthful green;
Then he looks at the
Windowframed garden
And it is
Green, all green
Lush, vibrant green;
And now the pain
Such as comes from
Creating a thing
That overpowers
And must be tamed
To gain a harmony
Of another strain;
So he paints the room again
Knowing that
The window must remain;
But look around the edges:
That unconscious margin, yet
Green, all green
Brooding, reminiscent green.
