After the neighbor's home remodel project, this window ended up leaning against a tree in the woods out back for the last decade or so (I'm told), but I sort of liked watching it through the seasons over the last year.

52 Weeks: 2026 Edition: Week 15: Through the Window
I like seeing reflections in the windows of large buildings. Here the day's clouds are reflected nicely in the windows.
This is, for me, a nice shot in itself, the two figures silhouetted in the window frame (at the Tate Modern). But, upon closer inspection she is looking at him (see also the reflection of her face) and he isn't returning her look. I imagine she is trying to look inside his soul but he is hiding his inner self from her, possibly from everyone......
Where does it end, when we keep walking in circles my friend.
Put in a frame, I´m sick and tired of taming the flame. And we burning, live without this change.
Watch me running, watch me brake away. What a story. In the wind now, like a paper plane. But now.
Sticks and stones could never break this bones, finally I made my way home.
This is where I belong.
This is where I belong.
So what do you say, you wanna break this circles with me?
Take of the pain, and turn this tears into summer rain.
Let a bird slowly drain away.
Give me colours, writtens mistories, what a story. In the wind where, just like paperplanes. But now. . .
Pic a mix of Scribbled Heart SL and Deviantart (windowframe with the girl and cat)
There's an awful lot of action on my sunny windowframe...(and yes, the picture is rather grey...I need to clean my windows!)
A window at the Eveleigh Carriageworks covered in dichroic film by artist Rebecca Baumann for her piece called Radiant Flux that was at the historic railway sheds' art exhbition in January 2020 (a bit late uploading!).
The work bathed the building's interior in magical light and that changed colours depending on the angle you viewed it from and whether you were looking in or out of the window, and depending on the angle of the sun shining on it - transmitting blue, magenta and yellow, and reflecting green, gold and blue.
It was mesmerising and joyful!
You can get specialty cuts here and many European goodies to accompany your meat purchase. Another nice local store, but meat is expensive. However, for those special occasions and hard to find cuts, this is the place to shop.
A revisit to some captures from Sri Lanka in 2019. Party atmosphere on this train not long before it departed. Clapping and singing from wonderful, friendly people.

Galleri Sjakk is one of 4 galleries in my home. Incidentally, the gallery is my first and is located in the garage. As of today, 38 images are now displayed there.
Here's another photo taken earlier this year at Roy's. It's about an hour away just over Sheephole Pass in Amboy. This is looking through the dirty windows at the interior of one of the bungalows along old U.S. Route 66.
I believe the register in the ceiling is the swamp cooler's output.
…Missouri was difficult in terms of finding lodging. If you were Black and you were on the road and were traveling Route 66. ...Say you went through the state of Missouri and you found Graham’s Rib Shack — which was awesome — you didn’t know where your next place was going to be unless you had th[e Negro Motorist Green Book]. There were 89 counties along Route 66. 44 out of those 89 counties were sundown towns. …an all-White community... Even though this was a Route 66 stop that …was fun and kitschy for most people, you know, not for everyone.

A new bach of photos, from the January Totton meeting, unfortunatly I have not been able to get to anything else this year yet so I am rapidly running out of photos! Many thanks to all the people who commented on the previous ones, those comments are really appreciated, and I will try to comment on as many of yours as I can.
Thanks also to Grace King and Linda Long for taking the photos at Totton!
It's been a long time since I got round to posting any photos of Cat on here, the reason for the lapse has been that I have been unable to get to the Totton and Lyndhurst events as I still have not been able to persuade anyone to give me a lift, and photos taken at home really don't seem to work well.
As always, a big thank you to all those people that have been commenting on earlier photos, I do try to comment on photos when the notifications appear but sometimes the quantity is a but overwhelming so apologies for all the ones I have missed!
the old town in palma breathes in stories and exhales memories. in the quiet of a narrow street, a barber works with the precision of decades etched into his hands. through the glass, you see him, framed by bottles and tools, his white coat glowing like a relic of another time. the soft snip of scissors, the weight of a warm towel—these are the sounds and textures of a world that still holds on. behind the glass, time slows, and tradition whispers.
