Saw this in the back of a car window while on my walk a few days ago here in DDO. It looks like a stuffed toy Octopus.

she raises her camera. the man walks on. neither sees the photograph being taken.

One of the buildings in our area showed a lot of nice sky reflections in it's windows.

A tropical view framed like a painting—lush gardens, swaying palms, and a glimpse of the ocean beyond. Sometimes the best scenery is found when you simply look outside.

steps:

1. find old window

2. break out glass with hammer (funnest step)

3. on back of frame, stretch lacey fabric or muslin, using tacks

4. install ceiling hooks, make wire loops, hang window

5. hang jewelry from fabric, or add tacks to front of frame to hold necklaces

Not a quickie, i had time to get my camera and take a series of photos as they lingered more or less comfortably in the morning shade. The next generation of anoles is assured.

A row of lanterns hang in the window of an abandoned mercantile buiding along Main Street in Bearcreek, Montana. Most of the town's 2,000 residents left after the Smith Mine disaster (1943) due to the affects of the tradegy on the mines and prople in the area combined with a national decline in coal prices and underground coal mining. The lamps hang in the window like they're beckoning the people (and the good old days) to come back to Bearcreek.

a quiet corner bathed in soft light, where the echoes of christmas linger unseen. the glowing bulbs frame the story, their warmth casting long shadows on frosted glass. the silhouette of a tree whispers of the season, while a child, lost in their own world, reads in the stillness. this is the poetry of moments unnoticed—simple, fleeting, eternal.
