We had a wicked Nor'easter blow through over the past couple of days. There was drenching rain for a few hours (which we haven't had in two months) followed by 24 hours of very strong winds. Foolishly, I headed to the beach for the sunset last night. The winds were WILD. The sand was blowing straight at me and after 10 or 15 minutes I couldn't take it anymore. I was, however, lucky to get a few shots of the amazing display behind the East End Lighthouse. I'm not sure if my lens survived though. But....it was worth it! A bad day at the beach is better than.....well, just about anything!

Almost harvest time. What hand to mouth subsistence should be.

Another oldie from last spring in the northern hemisphere... A tiny wildflower growing on a mountainside just north of Kelowna, in the Okanagan valley of British Columbia...

Mike and I were picking up our order at the Tim Horton's drive through when I spotted these turkeys strutting in the parking lot.

Wild Purple Iris

Having a foggy morning yesterday, I headed out with my camera to a small community park that used to be an apple orchard left to grow wild for the most part.

Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

This spring i was able to watch and photograph a group of wild boars with more than 30 piglets. They are so adorable to watch how they play and how they behave was incredible. Here is a link to a short clip on my YouTube channel: youtu.be/dsQk6_8oROI

-------------------------------------- Story --------------------------------------

Remember that Wild Mustang Mare I've told you about some times ago ? She's doing fine, even if I still didn't manage to get on her back... She trust me enough to let me put tacks on her.. I really start to think she can't be tamed to become a riding horse.. So instead of pushing her or forcing her to accept someone on her back, I'm just bringing her walking in the wild, where her heart belongs.. I wish I could let her roam free again, but the bad guys will get her and she will be in the pen, another time and maybe she won't have the same chance to be saved this time.. So she gonna stay with us at the Ranch, and continue to live free in the big pastures we have..

the beauty of the simple

Found a Wild Rose Bush today.

Abbotsford, B.C.

...with essence of Canada Goose doing yoga stretches.

Fun with selective focus and apertures. Slight crop.

Thanks for looking!

I do not know what kind of grass this but on its own, I think the weed is beautiful.

The smell was almost overpowering.. Shot with a cooler white balance than the camera chose.

This wild rose is often found in hedgerows around the UK.

Always a treat to find.

Unfortunately its common name here is 'dog rose', not very flattering for such a beautiful wild flower.
