A close-up of a wild multiflora rose taken near Granger, Iowa. It's designated as a noxious and intrusive plant in several states.

the beauty of the simple

While photographing a waterfall, a fuss was seen at the car park, there just behind the tourist shop was a raccoon looking for food.

This wild rose is often found in hedgerows around the UK.

Always a treat to find.

Unfortunately its common name here is 'dog rose', not very flattering for such a beautiful wild flower.

The wild garlic flowers in Hanau forests

Growing next to Rosa canina, but different. The leaves are not glossy and the flowers are a more intense pink. I need to get photos of the thorns and a close up of the leaves.

I layed on my lawn to capture this....before our tortoise ate it.

Twisted, wild, sinking down

Reflections swim, then they drown

In the water, that does rise and fall

Answering sweet natures call

Trees and water, they make love

Below the dramatic skies above

That make reflections, without a sound

As wood twists wildly all around

Nothing wilder than being on our city streets... here you have to watch your back, I've already been mugged just in my local town, down the street in a public park it wasn't fun - you're quickly outnumbered, your life in danger, and you give up everything you have, even lost my bicycle. that's when I got my dog, it's best not to be alone. I traveled with another person the day of this photo.

currently living in the North-West, the more poverty stricken province of S. Africa. 53% unemployment rate. Then when I resisted the muggers they attacked and beat me, but luckily got my phone back.

of course I learnt to forgive them, what more can we do. at least I kept my dignity, now beautiful song to soothe

Found this tiny wild flower in the garden. So tiny that's it was almost invisible despite the vibrant colours - only noticed it as I was lying on the ground looking at other flowers with a lens and extension tube setup. This whole flower, not quite fully open, is no more than 4-5mm across.

I really prefer shooting subjects in their natural environment in ambient light but it was too breezy to get a decent shot so I bought one inside and used a flash...

After some research it seems this is called Common Storksbill, a type of wild dwarf geranium.

With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, and stay safe! ❤️❤️❤️
