There's a line of Wild Rose bushes growing in the alley behind my house. They're starting to bud. They'll grow pink flowers. A few years ago, I got permission from my neighbor to dig some of them up and I transplanted them down the street in Hester Park's central flower bed. They're doing good.
The Monnow (in Welsh, 'Mynwy' which mean 'Swift Water') is a truly wild river. It rises in Wales just below the Black Mountains and flows through unspoilt countryside and the occasional village, skirting two medieval castles, in and out of Wales and the English county of Herefordshire (fn fact for part of its length forming the border beween the two countries) until it runs into the River Wye at Monmouth town.

Holler, Wild Rose! - The Boat - March 15th, 2009
Out of the 23 bands that I saw over the course of Canadian Music Week, by far the most impressive act was New Jersey's Holler, Wild Rose! They were the last band to play the Audio Blood Tea Party at tThe Horribly Lit Boat in Toronto.
