I love these flowers. They come twice a year here. It is once in the fall and once in the spring.
They make an awesome background for any portrait.

This time of year, Alaska is awash in wild roses. They only bloom for a couple of weeks, so I needed to take some photos to remember their color...only problem is the camera doesn't store smells!

I would have preferred no eye crud in the photo, and probably less insects, but I liked the way the horse's hair was falling in this one and a glimpse of it's eye.

The African wild dog is highly endangered, with fewer than 5000 remaining in the wild, primarily in Tanzania (selous) South Africa (kruger) and botswana (chobe) with smaller extant populations elsewhere such as the Luangwa parks in Zambia. The prime reason for their endangered status is human overpopulation as wild dogs need an enormous hunting range which isn't possible in many places in 21st century Africa
The dogs watched these sable antelope for a while with the bull occasionally charging them. See www.wildcast.net
Wild Strawberries intended to send the Democracy Classroom as a Christmas gift to President Ma. Police from Zhongzheng No. 2 Police Station (中正第二分局) prevented them and took away the Democracy Classroom.
In the UK this plant is largely restricted to the Caledonian Pine Forests in Scotland. It is classed as Nationally Scarce.
However it is a plant which can be found all around the world in the Northern Hemisphere from Northern Europe to Russia to Alaska and Canada and much of the USA. It is actually quite abundant in much of its range. You cannot judge the size of the flower from this image but it is very small and easily overlooked. In Scotland it flowers in June/July. The plant grows in clonal patches ie a group of plants which are genetically identical.
