This beautiful spring wildflower often grows in large colonies in shady, damp woodlands. The spike contains dozens of pale blue blooms rising a foot or two above ground level.
Wild daisy flowers growing in the North of Malta. Taken with the Canon 5D4 and their 50mm 1.4 lens at f/2.0 and converted to black and white in Lightroom.
Looked for ages for a kingfisher with a great background. Didnt perch on the right spot but cant have it all.
Since I’m greedy I wish we had seen more wild elephants, but it was a pleasure to see this one after seeing so many captives saddled for the tourist trade. A wild Asian elephant at Kui Buri National Park, Thailand.

I had a deep red Rhodie where this one is now and the squirrels dug around it and broke a limb off and it finally died this last summer... Sooo, I got another one and this is it's first blooming.. I am so excited to see how healthy it is and the fellow who does my yard is going to put a screen barrier just under the bark dust so the squirrels can't dig at the roots... I have never seen a rhodie this color and the name of the bush is Wild Ginger!!
I'm not sure what kind of wildflower it is but it certainly stood out amongst the surrounding greenery!
Stay Safe and Healthy Everyone!
Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!
I took this image of a male Wild Boar a couple of years ago. It's one of a series of shots that I'd been hoping to achieve for a while. This particular boar's routine involved walking this route through the woods towards the end of the day, so I found a suitable place to wait to trigger the shots. Most of the series is better lit and sharper, but I prefer this angle. The later shots in the series were spoilt by mud and boar snot which ended up all over the lens :)

Wild Arum / arum maculatum. Pioneer Meadows, Derbyshire. 20/04/18.
A fresh Wild Arum plant, one of many in a rather damp, shaded area of woodland. This specimen had plenty of dark blotches on its leaves, making it very attractive. However, I noticed that the majority of plants in the area completely lacked these leaf markings.

One of this years Barn owls (wild) from a site that Rob and I have been working this year. Months of preparation work making sure the birds welfare always came first without exception, enabled us to get shots like this.
