Taken on a warm July day in a field in East Yorkshire. At that time our hedgerows and field edges will be full of this simple but delicate wildflower. My previous post was of a cultivar growing in my garden but I much prefer the wild one. The flowers are smaller they do not last as well but its that transience that gives them a charm garden plants just do not have.
I will be away from Flickr for a few days, we are spending some time with friends on the North Yorkshire Coast at Robin Hoods Bay, here’s hoping for some bright weather. Will catch up with you all later in the week

Just a quick shot of a beautiful lone feather lost in the foliage. Spotted on a walk at Standing Cedars nature preserve.
I noticed this one small pansy growing in the middle of the back lawn. I borrowed it from the ground, had some fun in the sun, then returned it to where it belongs!
Wild Beach Rat
People were feeding the wild birds from the promenade. This rat was darting out between the concrete piles to grab whatever food he could and disappear back to the nest inside the sea defences.
He was lightning quick grabbing his food but the birds just ignored him.
