Decided to go for a walk this morning over Cannock Chase. I managed to get the loan of a vehicle. My son had a bad accident yesterday in my car, he is fine, so is his mate, God knows how, but the car it a complete write off.
Anyway I enjoyed my walk in the mist and rain and its cleared my head.
The light was just right to get the seeds sharp and not over-expose the petals.
Also, called Common Sunflower, Helianthus annuus. Pedals are wider and larger than blackeye Susan and seeds are looser.

On my way to the office on my new vintage bike I saw this poppy on the side of the road growing wildly through the fence, took a brave moment to capture this, but it was so beautiful it had to be done HFF
Wild geranium flowers are pinkish. This plant's roots contain alum and was a useful medicinal in times past.
I saw these wild flowers on side on hill. The purple shading is sun hitting on the white petals of the flower.

yep these are sure wild flowers ...... they say these tulips can bite
so care is needed when picking them .....very much abstracted

As I've said before, if I wait long enough most of all the wild population passes through my yard. This tom turkey came through yesterday in the rain. Yes, I know my yard looks like an unmown field. Because I refuse to cut the buttercups down until their time is past and I have yet to pick up all the sticks and branches that blew down in the last big wind! LOL I'm happy to see the Hosta plants still there though. Most of the time the deer have eaten them all by now! Still waiting on the bear......
