Taken on a warm July day in a field in East Yorkshire. At that time our hedgerows and field edges will be full of this simple but delicate wildflower. My previous post was of a cultivar growing in my garden but I much prefer the wild one. The flowers are smaller they do not last as well but its that transience that gives them a charm garden plants just do not have.

I will be away from Flickr for a few days, we are spending some time with friends on the North Yorkshire Coast at Robin Hoods Bay, here’s hoping for some bright weather. Will catch up with you all later in the week

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED.

Wild rhododendrons cover the hillsides along Kelly's Run. Those in the wild bloom in early July, which is about a month later than those we see planted around our local neighborhoods. Although we'd hiked the trail several times before, we had never been there when the rhododendrons were blooming, so it was a treat to catch them at just the right time.

Probably Carolina Rose but not sure. There used to be many more of these in the Holland Sand Prairie but the dreaded rose chafer beetles have made them pretty uncommon. It was nice to find some untouched. Hope they survive!

grazing in the lower salt river in arizona. grass is yummy

Daffodils growing wild in the woods. I love that ^_^

It was really nice to be able to get this close to the herd, and this was the first light of the day.

Two beautiful wild male turkey strutting for the ladies in early spring in a southern Oklahoma field.

Enjoying the garden this morning I heard an odd noise and saw these two walk up my neighbor's driveway, across my yard and on up the neighborhood. They can be a little aggressive so I gave them plenty of space.

The African wild dog is the largest wild dog in the African savannah. It is also called African hyenas dog, but there is no connection to them. The dogs live very harmoniously together in packs of several animals and have a strong social behavior
